I really like Dak, but just do not think he will be enough.
I do like the way they tend to air it out on first down plays, and that might help. But I do not think anyone can run on Alabama, and to win you have to be able to run some.
Unless of course there are a lot of turnovers, which could happen, I guess.

Except that we do it regularly, jist not constantly. So we definitely have put in the time and prep to go hunh the whole game.

I really like him too. I also think that if they gameplan the way I think they will and Dak makes great decisions on run/pass and they win some 50/50 balls that they will have some offensive success.

Sums up a lot of threads this week
But it also serves as my personal prediction and reasoning behind it

You clearly don't as you are in the bottom 10% of teams nationally in pace. That isn't a made up number, it is based on your number of plays over a period of time and has a whole big population to work from since we are now into mid-November.
Do you sometimes do it in certain situations? Maybe, but that isn't what the poster was talking about. He was talking about full-fledged pacing akin to Auburn in 2010.

I said 4-5 wide. You can split out a RB. How many sacks did you get on Kelly? I don't have the info in front of me.

your reasoning is to be admired.
Just like the LSU game...

Yeah yeah yeah.. You know I picked Bama. Was just my way of saying thank you to those avatars!

Last year Alabama keyed up on Dak the entire game. That was when the wide receivers were much better as well.
This year won't be any different, except our rush is better and Dak is going to eat grass more.
It looks like Dak's offense can produce against Alabama, but come Saturday you'll see the same old thing from MSU and Mullen.

2 - but Ole Miss didn't go 5 wide very much. They had a back in quite frequently. They split Engram out a lot, though.
You can't beat Alabama being totally 1 dimensional. You have to at least present the other option as a possibility. If you just line up in 5 wide every play we are going to eat your lunch.
State is going to run a ton of run-pass option stuff out of 4 wide and 3 WR/1 TE sets.

I pick MSU and here's why,
I'm an enormous LSU homer and we need help
Also, Dak is legit.
I'll tune in largely to see how he does.

But I do not think anyone can run on Alabama,
Their season rushing statistics are worse than I thought. Only averaging 147 yards per game, and Dak leads the team at 46 yards per game.

35-19??????? Wow. I would have thought that would have been bama's winning score. If for some crazy reason that msu wins, it will be on a last second fg.

State has a path to victory. 5 wide with no threat of run and no back or tight end in to help protect ain't it.
Dak is a threat to run. Leading rusher on the team!
Next is the fact that the OL has given dak a lot of time this season.
Last, do you really think you can get to Dak because he holds the ball too long? That's what you would have to be saying.

Dak has 13 sacks this year and as someone pointed out above, he may be the leading rusher on the team, but he is only averaging 46 yards a game.

Yea, when he has a running back coming through that demands attention. If the threat is simply Dak catching a shotgun snap and running then that won't be working (see last year).

So had LSU's line. How'd that go?
State's offensive line is decent in pass protection. 28th in adjusted sack rate. They aren't elite, but they aren't terrible

Being able is something totally different. The have shown they can. They do practice that. I don't feel they will, but they don't have to.
MSU will be Bama's toughest game!

Anybody watching both teams know that MSU has to stop the run. They will live, or die by that. The have the guys to do it
