When a college has a quality QB coming in, how far can they go to get him ready for their program, i.e. Providing the playbook, working with their HS Coach to install plays, etc.? I realize there is no sure thing with HS kids, but when your job is on the line wouldn't it be in the yours and the program's best interest?

He's in his own season right now. He gets to Athens in January and will get the playbook then.

I would hope the program goes out of it's way not to frick up the recruitment of a 5 star QB so I would think its a real "hands-off" situation

Not if that HS intends to remain undefeated.

I can't imagine that there's much of anything that happens till said QB gets on campus (especially when he's an EE). If you think about it, Eason has more than enough to say grace over with his current team in the playoffs. Once those games are done, it's the holidays and then the Army AA game right on the heels of Christmas. He's leaving straight from San Antonio to arrive in Athens.
In the case of a kid who won't come in till the summer, there might be an opportunity to slip him some info, time-wise, but any school would be crazy to do so until the kid's NLOI is in.

So say I'm a college coach and I know a particular 5star QB is verbally committed, can I provide some of my playbook to his HS coach to get him ready? That is if I have a good relationship with that coach?
