You're getting lost in all these petty details, how great is it that our football team stood up for something they believe in?
So proud of our boys and the leadership by coach Pinkel. We can all agree Missouri is a better place today!

Kid arrested was a 19 year old living in Rolla.

that shite is so insignificant to me.
Thanks to those who gave updates on the threat and what was and was not happening. fricking impossible to get a consistent and straight answer from the school.

The straight answer from the school was that nothing was going on and to follow them for updates.
If nothing is happening and they have vocally stated that NOTHING is happening all of this shite is false then what more do you want them to say?
"Nothing is happening"
1101: Nothing happening
1103: Update, just in, nothing happening
1104: Just witnessed Nothing Happening
1105: Nothing really starting to erupt into nothing
1106: Nothing has just ran over nothing using his car.
1107: No protesters spotted outside the quad yelling nothing

You've got to trust the school.
No updates because nothing happened. Stop spreading rumors, etc.

They were aware of the social media threats.
Guy was in Rolla.

My point was something was happening, but I couldn't get a straight answer. There was a threat and they were investigating it and that's cool. But how serious was it? Were they on lockdown or were they not? Alerts weren't saying they were but the cops were saying otherwise to at least some of the students. Hell, I couldn't even get a straight answer as to whether I could go get my daughter last night if I even wanted to. I was getting more and better info here. And thanks to y'all who were passing on info about it.

Must be a whiz computer science major...hasn't yet taken the class where it's pointed out that social network posts can be traced?

I get it, and I would likely feel the same way you do if I had a child at Mizzou last night, but you've almost got to trust the system in place with things like this.
Rumors will always exist, and sometimes rumors are real, but with everything going on you know there's going to be a lot of misinformation out there. The Rolla a-hole basically made a modern day bomb threat and every person that's ever been to any school has gone through their share of those.

What exactly did this kid do? Was he the one that said something was going to happen at the Black Culture Center?
Posted on 11/11/15 at 1:35 pm to Mizzeaux
I hear ya mizzeaux. And understand I'm not talking about rumors. I chalked the kkk stuff up to either paranoia and seeing ghosts. Never worried about that. I was worried about the shooting threat because that was a fact, not rumor. And it's hard to trust the University when they're not even giving consistent answers. Mind you, last night we didn't know it was a guy in Rolla. For all I knew it could have been a guy in her dorm.
Just glad it got resolved but as a parent, it's the threat of actual harm like that that has me about to pull her, all of the other shite doesn't impact her. She just ignores it all and goes about her thing.
