1) wins natty this year?(could he be done) doubt it tho
2) loses in playoffs again
3) some delusional LSU frick acts as God and tells him to retire
4) 2 more national championship
5) championship this year, bad season next year.
6) goes to NFL
Which one is the most likely to be the reason saban will retire? Which one is most probable

I think he could go to the pros after this year

he seems to be enjoying this season based on things he says at the pressers. i see 4-5 more years

Just assume he's going to coach Bama until he dies at 164 years old and learn to accept it.

None of those scenarios are going to make him retire. He's got another 5-7 here before he loses his edge.

Wow I didn't even think of that scenario. That is very possible.

6) Loses to Ole Miss for the third time in a row

When his competitive fire burns out.
That is the only scenario.
That is the only scenario.

He'll retire the next time he loses to Les.
So maybe 3-4 years.

Minimum five years left.

I can't imagine he wants to retire without at the very least tying Bear Bryant at 6 titles. The man is driven, he wants at least 6 and would love 7. At that point he would cement himself as the GOAT, though honestly I'd argue he already is.

Now that I look at it the only way I see him leaving in the next couple of years would be to go to the NFL

There is no chance he goes back to the pros. At his age, he will never receive an offer.

7) Loses a few games early next year, quits in the middle of the season.
...oh wait, wrong coaching legend. Saban's not a bitch.

He was a hired gun. That's what we all reasonably accepted. But something changed. His family actually likes their life in Alabama, believe it or not. He wants to be a legend. Maybe he wants to surpass Bear's NC count at Bama, just 4 more to go...

He will try to win 3 mor NCs at Bama and that will Tie Bear. So I'm guessing this year and two more then he hangs.

I'd like him to stay at Alabama but if he does decide to leave, I hope it is to coach the Saints

How many of Bryant's titles are bogus?

Just throw that sock away when you're done here, don't bother putting it in the wash.
