On Saturday, Florida jumped to 20-6 against Georgia since Spurrier was hired in 1990.

Ironically, Florida is also 20-6 against Tennessee over this time period.

Here is how the BIG 6 ranks against each other since 1990:

1) Florida (75-36-0)- 67.6%
2) Alabama (57-45-1)- 55.8%
3) Auburn (46-54-2)- 46.1%
4) LSU (45-53-0)- 45.9%
5) Georgia (41-55-1)- 42.8%
6) Tennessee (37-58-2)- 39.2%

Thank goodness for the Vols.

How is there an odd number of ties? Without checking the W/L's, shouldn't all the numbers equal one another for it being a contained sample space?

My bad. Percentages were correct but I added an unnecessary tie. It is fixed.

Six ties total.

And for all the Aggies, Rebels, and Hogs who constantly ask, "What does it take to join the Big 6 ?" all the time, this is your answer:

Win 3 National Titles, 8 SEC Titles, and go 75-36 against the Big 6 and you will join the club.

As much as I hate to admit it, Florida has dominated the league since Spurrier came to Gainesville, and it honestly hasn't been close. How a program can go from zero Titles (of any kind) to the above resume in just 26 seasons is unreal.

You're actually better off now.

Florida in the '90s was no fun to play against. And Tennessee in the '90s was almost just as good. Georgia had some decent teams in the '90s but when you play in the same division as those two, you weren't going to be making many trips to Atlanta.

The East was the stronger division until the early 2000s. Missouri came in at a good time. That's why you have two division titles to your name.

Why is this ironic?

Why is this ironic?

Of all the Big 6 series since 1990, only two have been so lop-sided that one team has won more than 65% of the games played.... and those two series have the exact same record.

Most dominant series within the Big 6 since 1990:

1-Tie) Florida vs. Georgia: 20-6 (76.9%)
1-Tie) Florida vs. Tenn: 20-6 (76.9%)
3) Florida vs. Auburn: 11-6 (64.7%)
4) Florida vs. LSU: 16-10 (61.5%)
5) Alabama vs. Georgia: 6-4 (60.0%)

The fact that a series has been as lopsided as 20-6 in favor of one team is crazy enough. The fact that there are two series with the exact same record is even more crazy. And a bit ironic considering Florida has beaten its two Eastern rivals by the exact series record over a 26-year period.

And this is why, no trolling, I think you guys need to part ways with Richt. I mean, I personally want you to keep him, but no way...no way...would I be cool with losing to ya'll 20 out of 26 times. Yes, there is more than one game in the season, but not all games are created equal. I'd accept some volatility if it meant consistently beating UGA and FSU.

Heh. VOLatility. Some jokes write themselves.
