Sigh, you know what, you win. I'm done arguing with you over and over again. Florida caused those muffed punts. Florida won the game. The refs were out to get Florida. Brandon Harris didn't do shite to your secondary. Fournette deserves a penalty for the punch. The holder was down on the fake field goal. Fournette's fumble was recovered in bounds. There was no block in the back on the punt return for a touchdown. There was no holding call on the 40-yard miracle catch on Florida's third scoring drive. Fournette had a false start on the first touchdown.

This is a reasonable discussion. You just don't like the way it's going
An interception is a forced turnover. A hit causing a fumble is a forced turnover. A punt returner barely touching the ball, is a lucky break...
35-28. DWI.
Funny watching you scratch for moral victories 3 weeks after the fact.
Really fricked you up didn't we?

WGAF what LSU thinks? We handle our business and they handle theirs we will get another shot at them and it will play out on the field.

This is why it perplexes me that LSU fans seem to think UF only was close to beating them because of lucky breaks.
With due respect for a good football team, UF was not close to beating us. LSU had a rather comfortable 7 point victory. It wasn't like Florida was on our ten trailing by four at the end. UF was close to being close to tying us, though.

Hold on, junior. The discussion in this thread seems very reasonable except for your post above, and the Florida poster (with the VERY HOT) swimsuir avi) who posted something like "They don't like reason."
If by "reasonable discussion", you mean "agrees with me", then you need to start by asserting something true. UF did NOT almost beat LSU.

Florida has had 5 punts dropped this season, at a certain point it stops becoming 'lucky'.
We have one of the best punters in the country and very good coverage, maybe Townsend punts a hard to field ball.

I'm usually one to side with teams creating their own opportunities, but I gotta tell you, in the case of muffed punts I think UF has just been incredibly fortuitous. There are only so many ways a ball can spin, and the UF punter hasn't found a new one. Stripped balls on punt returns, 100% created. A ball grazing the shoulder as it bounces, random luck.

That lucky hail Mary was all skill by lsu. No luck there. The fumble that barely went out of bounds..all skill by LSU no luck involved. That trick play was pretty but if that's not luck neither is a brilliant return by Callaway so you know what. Screw off with your non sense. Some of the Lsu fans have such a God complex. A lot are cool and know that game was a good game with two good teams. A few of you are ridiculous though. Ruins the group somewhat. If you don't think Lsu had lucky breaks every bit as much as Uf, you don't know much about football.

In defense of Josh...he did start by stating a stat and should stopped there...but unfortunately it unraveled on him.
Turnover ratios are great and all....but the stat that I am most interested in is the rushing yardage...thats the stat that tells you who dominated the line of scrimmage. In our game with LSU we were dominated almost 5 to 1 in yardage. We picked up 55 yds rushing...thats a stat I hate to see us have. You lose a lot of SEC games if you do that. We've been fortunate because our defense is stopping the other team in most cases.
Look at boxscores and compare the winners and losers and get back with me on who has more rush yds. Now, can UF change the outcome against LSU if we should play them again? You bet. Without red stick and with a crowd in Atlanta that might approach 55% Gator fans? Or more? And in a rematch we could scheme a little better against the LSU OL...which was stout last time...but guess what? A lot of teams have OLs that play better with home crowd noise...it amps them up.
I hope we play LSU in Hotlanta and we will see what happens. Treon will have had a lot more snaps under his belt but he didnt throw the ball well against UGA...one good throw to Callaway for 66yder...but a lot of passes were thrown off target.

Im sure the correlation between positive turnover margin and victory is stronger than rushing and victory

I would say the fumble and the muffed punt were equal in terms of luck. A bounce one inch either way on both and it's different.
The long pass and flea flicker were great plays. What luck was needed? One was flawless execution and the other was a hell of an effort made by Harris on the scramble and drilled his target in the chest. I guess there was some luck on the your DB being made to looked like a lost rookie, but that ball was being caught regardless. Harris had a running Lane and another receiver wide open on the sideline. He threw that ball because he knew he had it.

Les Miles is something like 61-0 when his team both rushes for over 100 and holds the opponent to under 100.
I don't know what his record is when losing the turnover battle, but I can tell you it isn't that one sided.

You would be wrong. Unless turnover margin is skewed, say 4 to 0, yeah of course thats important...but you get outrushed 5 to 1? Its darn near hard to find Ws in that stat...but take my word for it...check it out on ESPNU scoreboard....click a game and then check scoreboard for team rushing totals. Try 100 of them and you will find 98 of them won with better rushing totals...unless its only a 10 yard difference of course. Get back with me.

The flea flicker? Yea, pretty skillful there. Hand off, RB toss back, WR get open, QB makes a good throw. Three SKILL players executing for a big gain. Not luck.

Did an LSU fan say this? No. That was an extremely lucky that it went out of bounds.

It was pretty, and it was a combination of good coaching and execution, which requires skill, not luck. The punt return by Callaway was all skill as well. No one said anything different. It takes skill to take advantage of plays like that. That's exactly what he did.
No one said anything to the contrary of that garbage you just spewed. You're making shite up to try to prove a point that doesn't exist.
This is what happens when you listen to Gary Danielson

They didn't. LSU outplayed Florida and should have won by about 10-14. I think you should respect your opponent when warranted and not pull shite like "we only beat ourselves" anytime you lose, or ignore when another team plays a great game because that's being a lame sports fan, but this is ridiculous.
