The thing about Saban is that while he's won a lot of Titles and been amazingly successful, he's never even won consecutive SEC Championships. Since Bear Bryant, here are the coaches who have managed to win consecutive SEC Titles:

4- Spurrier
3- Dooley
3- Dye
2- Fulmer
2- Majors

This point is completely moot considering the level of competition and parity and the SEC compared to when the coaches you listed coached.

Maybe there is more parity because the program at the top can't ever seem to put it together all year, every year as did Spurrier, etc.

While Spurrier only had one National Title at Florida, he did dominate the SEC like no coach has done since Bryant. He won 4 straight SEC Titles and 5 out of 6.

And the SEC was no slouch at that time either. From 1991-1996, Florida won 5 out of 6 SEC Titles yet Alabama had Alabama had three Top 5 finishes (1991, 1992, & 1994) including a National Title. Auburn (1993) and Tennessee (1994) also had Top 5 finishes during the era. So its not like the SEC was chopped liver while Spurrier was dominating the league. He just was able to close the deal each year and win the conference title.

This is pretty much my point. While Saban has been dominant for sure, he's failed to truly dominate (in terms of championships) the SEC during this "dynasty". He's certainly failed to win as many as one would think he should have with all that talent.
