The sec network is great

I wouldn't know because I've only watched the game broadcasts because they have a-hole Finebaum on all the rest of the time and I don't watch him.

I'm sure most of us would enjoy it a lot better if that annoying little twat was fired tomorrow.

Well, I would watch and see. So far, I can't say how I would enjoy it because I've literally never watched it when he was on. Now that they have him on GameDay some, I switch the channel as soon as I see his face.

He possess little to no football knowledge of any kind.

Obviously, but that's no different to most other sportscasters these days. They don't know a damned thing, they don't even pretend to know anything, they are just entertainers trying to get attention. Finebaum has never known anything, but he knew that talking shite would get him attention. He started by trolling the Auburn and Alabama fan bases, and as his audience has increased, his trolling targets have likewise increased. He loves to talk shite about LSU because he knows LSU fans are passionate and there are some who are too stupid to ignore him, just like the Auburn and Alabama fans that he got his start trolling.

He's hard to listen to with all his mumbling, stuttering and searching for words. How espn didn't require him to take some broadcasting 101 classes is puzzling.

ESPN couldn't give a rat's arse about any of that. They know that Phyllis from Mulga and a million like her will fall for his tired bullshite and as long as they do, ESPN makes money and is happy.

He mostly appeals to residents of the free bird trailer park

Of course he does. No one with an IQ over 70 would listen to him. There's a reason why he got his start in Alabama, but it could just as easily have been Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, etc.

an embarrassment to the network.

A network doesn't get embarrassed, unless they get shitty ratings. They would put on two bubbas from Alabama (the state, not the school) acting like children if it got ratings, which, thanks to the stupidity of Alabama and, apparently, the whole South, it does.

The SEC deserves better. Much better.

No, it doesn't. "The SEC", if defined by the collective fan bases of all its schools, deserves exactly what it has, a shite-stirring hack with no talent trolling them every fricking minute. The fact that they are so stupid that they make him rich because they hate him is the proof that they deserve him.

Spurrier is available and would be a treasure of football knowledge and insight

Yes, he would be extremely informative and helpful to any real fan wanting to learn something, which automatically excludes 99% of all SEC fans.

Just a thought.

Having one of those while trying to evaluate what SEC fans want/need/will get is where you went wrong. Finebaum specializes in manipulating people who can't think, which is what made him a perfect fit for talk radio in Alabama and now, apparently, TV through the whole of SEC country.

Um, he got his start as a beat reporter covering LSU football.
