What is the point of this thread then? You actually think Chavis is the reason we lost?
No, your super awesome offense that Chavis left LSU for lost the last 2 games.

Living in College Station, I look forward to saying "all we need is a top 60 defense and we will win every game by 2 tds"
I'm going to politely repeat this narrative for much of the morning.....because you know "they stole our best coach"
DELUSIONAL

Meh anyone that watched that game can see something is seriously wrong. Spavital is terrible for sure and he needs to go. Every play is horizontal and 2-3 plays every series are screens. Those sort of lose their effectiveness when you call them every play.
That being said, he *could* have been calling them because of the kyle allen situation. He's either injured in the shoulder, or he has matt schaub syndrome. In the second half in particular he was missing simple throws by a LONG way. I think he was hurt and they even worked on his shoulder some.
Because of a blowup between our backup QB and our OC, we didn't have a backup for this game ready so instead of taking out a struggling and almost certainly injured player, we left him in to go 0-22 and throw away any chance of winning the game.
Fwiw, I thought the defense played pretty well considering the lack of production from the offense and I was proud of them for not quitting when it would have been real easy to. The offensive coaches certainly quit on this team, maybe some of the players too. There are some things to fix right now, but it's not the defense.

I'm hoping Cam says "frick you Les" and hangs 60+ on their arse.

I have a feeling Miles will be looking to make a statement.

We can only hope. This the game I hope LF breaks Broussards record in.

Hopefully the offense is aware what Chavis thought about them. If LF breaks the record vs Chavis then this board is going to be on another level of shitshow, and it will be glorious.

So what exactly is Sumlin there to do then if he doesn't have the authority to take over the offense when it's not working? I thought that was his specialty?

Which is probably the real look into why shite is falling apart from inside at A&M right now.

Well, they might have a lot of fight but Ole Miss hasn't run the ball on anyone all year and they put up 230yds Saturday.
The bottom line is A&M is in for a rocky November and Sumlin might now make it out with his job. That's quite different from a few months ago.

Chavis is still doing a great job, our defense is vastly superior to where it was a year ago.
Through 7 games in 2014:
222.1 passing yards per game
174.9 rushing yards per game
397.0 total yards per game
22.6 points per game
Through 7 games in 2015:
191.4 passing yards per game
200.1 rushing yards per game
391.6 total yards per game
24.1 points per game
Surely your definition of "vastly superior" doesn't mean 5 yards less per game and 1.5 more points per game, right?

Not sure if you're accounting for points their offense gave up, which shouldn't be added to defensive stats, like pick sixes, etc.

I'm not making a distinction for either year. While I agree with you, the NCAA doesn't care, so neither do I.

OUCH! Those are pretty close to Snyder numbers, but with no 59-0 yet

If we give up 59 points and 600 yards of total offense to South Carolina this weekend I think you'll see most of us change our tune
