I'm sure Steele will hold Alabama to 20, Arkansas to 20, and Ole Miss to 23.

Oh wait he won't.

If you want to talk shite you should start a thread on our offense or quarterback situation.

What is the point of this thread then? You actually think Chavis is the reason we lost?

I don't see why this thread and these continual threads are necessary... Dude wanted a guaranteed contract considering all of the noise around the LSU program the past few years and after what he experienced at UT.

Almost no assistant coaches have guaranteed contracts and assTomouth was willing to give him one. No brainer for him, I guess. Good riddance.

The great Chavis defense lost the Alabama game the last 2 out of 3 years on the last possession.

Chavis wanted to go where he could have a good offense to complement his good defenses. So he went from a team that scored 10 on Ole Miss when they were undefeated and ranked 3rd to a team that scored 3 on Ole Miss when they were 5-2 and gave up 37 in a loss to Memphis.

But they still like him there in College Station, because their defense is better now than it was, which, to be fair, is exactly how we felt in 2009. One of these days, if or when they are ever good enough to actually have a 3-point lead over a good team in the last two minutes for him to blow, they'll learn what we did.

Until then, we can just all shed a tear for poor Chavis, who would win beaucoup national titles if he could just find a team with a decent offense to go along with his flawless defense.

Of course he isn't the ONLY reason but Aggy assured us he was the missing piece. Aggy is now throwing the OC under the bus. WTF does Sumlin do for his $5 million then? He doesn't do shite with the defense. Y'all are saying the offense isn't his fault. He's getting worked in recruiting. What is he actually responsible for in that program?

I thought you perma banned yourself??

On one hand I think you should honor your word.

On the other that means someone would have to step up their LSU post count to make up for your loss.

I guess we'll see. Last year, we held Alabama to 13 in regulation, Arky to 17 and Ole Miss to 7. So far, of the three opponents we've played this year that we also played last year, only Florida has matched their point total from last year, and they needed a punt return TD and a muffed punt inside our own 10 to do that.

Last year, we had a 3-point lead on Florida with a couple of minutes left and them at their own 25. First play: 73-yard pass to our 2 yard line. Thanks to a dropped pass by a wide open receiver in the end zone on 3rd down, they had to settle for the tying FG with under a minute to go before we made a furious drive for the winning FG.

This year, we took a 7-point lead with 10 minutes left, never scored again, and the defense made that lead stand up for the rest of the game.

He's yours now. We don't miss him.
