What is your honest assessment of Alabamas offense?

Not enough ace formation maybe? Anything under center so Henry can get a run and go? Those give the ball to Henry 5 yards deep standing still plays might have to go. Maybe some playaction from under center more often?
Is the offensive line just that bad? They seem to block fine when we come from under center. Come from under center. Cum from under center. Cum.......

All A&M, all the time.

Clutch. They produce when they need to. I knew they would score at the end of yesterday's game. No doubt.

Overall solid unit. Coker is your weak link. OL not as dominant as we've seen from Bama in the past. Henry is a very good back.

LSU only has the appearance of being one-dimensional, when they actually aren't.
Alabama truly is. Jake Coker has no ability to carry that team.

O-line is the problem.
-Coker is a serviceable QB
-Henry is a good back, but you are missing the quality depth you guys normally have. (Drake is off and Harris is ok, but nothing special)
-Ridley is a fantastic weapon, and the WRs seem to be playing pretty well in general
but that O-line. Run-blocking can be good at times, but Henry has been getting stuffed behind the line often and pass pro has been laughable.

Ridley is great.
Henry is capable.
Coker is below average.
The OL is bad.

OLine blocking sucks.

I feel that the identity of the overall offense has grown a little softer than years passed. Too many penalties, holding on to the ball too long, playing olé with dlinemen at times...
I miss the line them up, we are going right here, you stop it attitude. It was classic coca-cola.

Cam Robinson looks like he doesn't care when it comes to pass pro

My honest assessment of the Bama offense is that it is untapped and poorly utilized given the talent I see on that side of the ball.
They could be far more wide-open, far more threatening when it comes to extending the field ... and all it would do is make their running game that much more potent.
They are definitely not getting the most outta their QB and WRs and those boys seem ready and able ... but someone is not loosening-up on the reigns enough. I'm not saying the reigns should be dropped or let go, I'm saying loosen-up a bit and let these guys stretch their legs.

B one minute, D the next. So overall C. No consistency on the Oline at at all and the fricking penalties are KILLING us.

Well said, talent is not the issue

The offensive line is even worse when we run from under center. Did you watch AnMs freshman DL Mack blow us the frick up?

Solid running game. Serviceable passing game. Calvin Ridley is the best athlete on the field.

If I remember correctly, wasn't that after the Bama starting center left the game?

Really, really good running back. One of Saban's weaker offensive lines. They are certainly not bad, just not elite as those 2009, 2012 teams.
Really good young talent at WR in Calvin Ridley at Stewart.
Coker is slightly inconsistent, but he is talented. He doesn't take care of the ball as well as previous Alabama quarterbacks and is typically good for 1 interception a game. He also tries to do too much in my opinion...particularly by scrambling. He reminds me of a bigger, John Parker Wilson out there. It just isn't natural and he's not going to consistently get 15+ yard carries. He isn't Eric Crouch out there.
I will give Alabama this, when things need to get done, they typically do it. Coker made some nice passes yesterday after Tennessee took the lead. The Alabama receivers made some great plays to go up there and get it. Even when Ole Miss was really routing Alabama, they didn't throw in the towel and Alabama was able to come back to make Ole Miss sweat it.

Rather, at the midway point of the season, it’s still about style. And Alabama’s style can best be described as all over the place.
They have a quarterback who can run over defenders and throw a beautiful deep ball, but too often he holds on too long, gets sacked or throws an interception.
They have a running back that’s worthy of Heisman Trophy consideration when he gets the football, but too often his offensive coordinator, Lane Kiffin, falls in love with the passing game and forgets to call his number.
