I seem to remember a lot of the plays never actually ended in a tackle, it was more that he was driven backwards after whistled dead. None seemed too egregious.

The hit on Brandon Harris should have been flagged, was, then it was picked up. LSU fans are justifiably upset because three weeks ago, LSU was flagged for a hit out of bounds when a linebacker hit Syracuse's quarterback IN BOUNDS.

10 and 15 yards backwards isn't egregious to you?

I see both sides of the argument. None of them merited a personal foul due to the contact. You could tell they were coached to do that and were told not put a big hit or slam on the end, so that it would never be called. It was just a tactic meant to frustrate Fournette a little.

However, the officials should've put their foot down, and said no more about the third or fourth time it happened. You could see where they kept talking to the players when they would do it. They should've drawn the line and told them next time you're getting flagged. That would've been the end of it. It's just gamesmanship, but something like that can get a guy hurt. It's on the officials for not putting an end to it. Now hopefully they will.
