I missed most of everything so far, what happened today? I didn't think we'd win but why in the frick is Murray playing, he can't throw. Kyle was making bad decisions before I had to leave but damn.

Well we had an excellent completion rate

To Bama's defenders

And their YAC was impressive after they caught our passes

He called a decent game. We have no balance on offense we are just as one dimensional as LSU

It's Spav's fault that Allen overthrew two open WRs on plays that woudl have been big gains?

It's Spav's fault that RSJ decided to stop his route and reverse field right as Allen was throwing the ball?

Bama has a sick defense and I thought we moved the ball pretty well on them. The players just didn't execute. For whatever reason Allen has been a tad bit inaccurate as of late and that crushed them today.

Exactly. Spav had nothing to do with this. And he would call a more balanced run/pass offense if we had the personnel to do so.

We needed Kyker to establish the run game, not throw an interception. That's my on,y complaint.

Murray can't throw? Seems pretty premature to make that judgment. He's inexperienced and green, playing against Bama's defense. He's throwing tight, which is not a surprise. I'm not a KA is shite guy. But if you want to throw KM into the lion's den, then you gotta get him meaningful reps, which we have not done to this point. The concerning thing is that KA played really tight today. We need them both.

But just a tad! Take away those 3 pick 6's and he'd have been just mildly bad instead of godawful. Early on I thought he had the yips in a bad way. But he never really got better.

not sure why you gave a emoticon.

Its absolutely true.

There was a dropped TD in there but he has been having issues w/throws he has normal made since the second half of the MSU game.

Like I've said before, the first two pick 6 plays were straight up awful overthrows by Allen to targets that were open and set to make big plays if he completes them like he normally does. The third was all on RSJ for changing direction right as Allen was letting go of the ball.

Hell, Allen even almost overthrew the big play to RSJ in the 2nd quarter that set up the score a play later.

He seemed to be pressing and it hurt us today.

Just have to take a step back and remember that he is still just a sophomore.

He has no arm strength, almost every ball I have seen him throw floats.

The 3rd pick 6 isnt on him at all. That was on RSJ.

I say a tad b/c aside from the two bad overthrows that got picked the main issue was he was just slightly ahead or slightly behind on several throws.

I can think of about 5 bad throws that stuck out. If he makes those plus the play where RSJ changed direction as he was throwing it he is 26/40 instead of 20/40.

He short armed a few vs ASU. That's nerves.
He's also tried some high touch passes that weren't there and never should've been thrown. That's inexperience. I think his actual arm strength is fine.

So in other words, he called a decent game considering HE is responsible for the one dimensional offense???

We don't have the blocking. Period. That has nothing to do with his in game calling. It's his recruiting, but really he doesn't recruit o line.

He calls to what strengths we have, which are limited.

Sorry, but he is the Offensive Coordinator. All offensive decisions have to go through him in some way, shape or form. If he hasn't implemented a blocking scheme, then that's all on him.

26/40 would be a 65% completion percentage against what is widely considered one of the best defenses in the nation.

What does it need to be at to be considered good?

Jesus man. Jump ship if you want but he didn't call bad plays to day and anyone who understands the game will say the same. We don't have a decent run block because the personnel isn't there. If you want to blame him for that, fine, but at least get the right blame.
