Well their last two coaches were well past their sell by date. The obvious choice is Phil Fulmer.
He's proven he can win in the SEC. Fulmer is at the point where he's been put out to pasture. He is perfect for the job.
He might even be an improvement over Spurrier. It is hard to imagine Fulmer throwing his visor or humping an exercise ball. Beat Tennessee every now and then and he'd be perfectly happy.

I think Herman would be a great choice.

I am not currently in negotiations for the USCe coaching job at this time.
But I will listen to offers.

Smart may get a look, but i doubt it.
Tubs? doubt the go after another coach at the back end of his career.
Mich St coach? May get a look, but he isnt going anywhere.
Maybe Harbaughs DL coach?
Whoever Memphis's coach was last year ?
Rhett Lashlee? LOL j/k
Muschampe?
Chizik ?

Tubbs is only 61 and there are few coaches these days that stay longer than 9-10 year.
I hope they stay away from Fuentes or Herman. I'm not a fan of the spread but if we get rid of CBB there are very few "Pro Style" with HC experience. We will have to move to the spread and I don't like it

I don't understand why his name keeps coming up. He has 0 head coaching exp and that isn't good. Just because he's a good DC doesn't mean he will be a good HC (ask muschamp)
edited for quote.

That would not be a bad choice at all, and I would bet he would take it in a heartbeat.

I heard it's Jon Gruden's dream job.

Morris vs Dabo for a few until he bolts for Bama?

Please goodness NO. Hopefully we finally learned our lesson. Dabo should be about our D list. He's a good fit at Clemson. Think he's struck gold with recent coordinator hires. He'd have to continue striking gold (don't see that happening forever, and he's not a good X's and O's coach). I also think this job would eat him alive.

Herman would be a beast in the East. He already is pulling top targets out of Texas to play for fricken UH
