first, hopefully we can keep the trolling by all sides to a minimum.

Turnovers are obviously the biggest for each team. So, that one is easy.

But, here is what the Ags need to do to Bama's offense.

Make them march the field and get them to 3rd downs.

quote:

99 Alabama 34.12% 24.39% 43.75% 38.71% 21.74% 50.27%

Bama is not good on 3rd downs. Haven't been all season. Add in Bama's penchant for missing field goals and we can keep the score manageable for our offense to break some stuff open.

The flip side is that we actually have to slow down your running attack. Our fast, aggressive DEs end up hurting us due to the extreme lack of depth we have at linebacker.

Alabama has a good defense, aTm doesn't.

I won't be surprised if Bama wins by 17+

I can't see yall winning this game. And college station is basically home games for opponents that are worth anything. Sorry, bro. Good offense though

In order to beat Bama, Kyle Allen will have to have the game of his life.

Whenever the two big brothers try to have a legit discussion, it's like light to the LSU little bro moths. Here they come.

The winning team is going to have to break tendencies in some area of the game.

this means, in order for aTm to win:
Must find a run defense
Must be able to run at least some

In order for Bama to win:
Must have consistent QB play
Must limit turnovers
Must make field goals

If good Coker shows up and sticks around the whole game, Bama wins easily.

If normal inconsistent Coker shows up along with inconsistent Griffith, Bama loses a close one.

If Bama comes out with their HUNH spread like against arky, I see their offense struggling. If Saban decides to party like its 1899, I don't know how A&M stops them at all.

We should force Alabama into passing situations. That means 3rd and longs. We play well defensively on 3rd downs.

Offensively, we have spread the field and put our athletes in seams in space. This is our best chance to jump out ahead. Alabama's defensive line is amazingly long, strong, and athletic.

Should be a good one.

Chavis gonna eat. I think the Aggies will beat Alabama if they can play their gaps on defense soundly. I think their offense can torch Alabama.

Not going to list the obvious (Turnovers, Stopping the run for Aggy, stopping the pass for Bama).

For aTm, I think it comes down to limiting Bama's long scoring drives. Arky had 3 scoring drives that total almost 21 minutes, and another 3 that totaled around 13 minutes.

If aTm lets Bama go on these long, time consuming drives, I don't think they will be able to score enough against that D.

For A&M, the keys to the game will be getting Bama in to long third down situations so Myles Garrett can dominate and Kyle Allen getting the ball out quickly.

For Alabama, the keys to the game will be putting themselves in to good third down situations so Myles Garrett doesn't eat them alive, and trying to stop Kyle Allen from getting the ball out quickly.

Neither are a real concern and neither kept us from beating Ole Miss. Our % to complete 3rd downs is on par with what aTm allows. And we have yet to rely on our FG kicking this year to win a game. So as long as our O keeps doing what they have been minus the turnovers it will be enough to outscore aTm with the our D controlling the rest of the game.

Turnovers is my only concern if any.

Derrick Henry is the key to the whole game. If Alabama can run with success between the tackles, then they should win. They can control the pace of play, burn the clock and limit A&M's offensive chances.

If A&M can slow him down, it brings the strength of their defense (hall and garrett) more into play, and then they can force the issue with Coker.

Bama offense must be able to sustain long drives and keep the TAMU offense off the field as much as possible.

Bama defense needs to be able to pressure the QB with a 4 man front and win the 3rd down battle.

TAMU offense must be able to establish a running game and win the TO battle.

TAMU defense will need to shut down Bama's rushing attack and force Bama to throw more. Also must create more 3 and outs so their defense will not be gassed by the 4th qtr.

It seems pretty obvious that Bama is going to run the ball a lot and then call lots if screen passes on third down.

A&M must stop those screens to get off the field. It will be the key to the game.

Don't let the Aggie QB make plays with his feet. If he picks up first downs on scrambles when we should have boxed him in, we're in trouble.

Thats all I'm really worried about, oh and Geno Mattias-Smith trying to cover ANYBODY.

The trouble is that i have not seen anything from ATM that tells me they are much better than last year's version of ATM. Bama is not quite as good, but they would have to digress beyond believe to lose a 59 point edge even on the road.

Bet Bama.

The game comes down to which performs better - the A&M run game or the Bama passing game.
