Quite simply, stars don't reach their potential at UGA. I don't blame UGA for it, but it just seems like things never fully align. Not always injuries (Gurley).
Granted, that happens most places to some extent. There is a reason why the elite class of player is pretty small (we'll see if Fournette gets there, for example). But it does seem that things go awry more often at UGA.
We never get to fully reap the fruits of our most talented for bullshite reasons. Hard to win big when that happens.

It's the curse of the track people. I said this years ago.

UGA player is clearly below both hips, shoulder into the knees you frick head. How did he put his shoulder into his hip if Tuttle is practically sitting on the guy mid air? Go frick yourself.
I've seen clearer pictures of fricking bigfoot. Was that taken through a shower door?

I've seen the video of the chop block....but, in the same video, watch what #6 of Tennessee does as Sony is stood up and is being taken out of bounds by another Tennesee player..

All of those versus the knee choppers in Kneeland?

WTF? Damn, a lot of horrible information in this thread. YOU CANNOT STRENGTHEN AN ACL. It is a ligament NOT a muscle. It is very tiny compared to your overall knee. The ACL is very fragile and any quick change in movement, jumping and landing the wrong way, stopping and starting, etc., will tear it. No amount of conditioning can prevent a tear. You cannot weight train an ACL. Now, I do think the way you run has an effect. If you slash a lot of side to side juking, that puts more pressure but a bad hit in the right spot will take any knee out. Woman's ACL is even smaller and is very susceptible to injury.
The more muscle and weight you put on probably increases your chances of a tear. Look at the NFL, most ACL tears this year were non contact. None was a result of strength or conditioning.

Your informative and reasonable post has no place here. Please take this to a newspaper or a pay site.

Chubb took a late hit out of bounds and his freaky balance is the only reason he was on his feet out of bounds to begin with. An average back is on his butt and their knee is never hurt.
Chubb was hit 2x on that run, both of which were in bounds.

This. There isn't anything you can do to strengthen a ligament.

Thats not true. Only one was in bounds, and after that hit, Chubb bounced around and into the white area, which is when the 2nd hit occurred.

They usually happen against UTk for some reason.

Are you and Nick besties off the field yet? Or did you lose your Chubb

I was talking about this with someone the other day. Maybe it's just perception, but it seems like every year UGA has a great running back. He gets hurt. The backup comes in and looks like a world beater, then gets hurt the next season when he gets to be the featured back.

Neither of his feet had stepped out of bounds when the second hit occurred. Part of his body may have "broken the plane" of the out of bounds marker, but he was not out of bounds.

Pretty interesting read. My dad was a freshman for the 1980 championship. He said he went twice to the tracks for a game. Said it was awesome.
I lived it... Was a student at UGA from '73-'77. saw a lotta games fron the tracks...

UT fans celebrated the victory over UGA like they had won the Super Bowl. Clearly this fan base is well aware of the prolonged dumpster fire that win does to their program. We lost the battle, but as long as Butch is around, everyone will continue to win the war on Rocky Top. That fan base is professional mountain white trash and deserve the continuous misery that awaits.
