Going to the big Apple for four days Halloween weekend I have been 2 times before I've already seen most of the real popular tourist traps, but this time I'm looking for something different any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Do a helicopter tour. It's touristsy but fricking sweet.
Go to a Rangers game if they are home.

Does this include the multitude of museums? If not, do that.

Try mugging someone. That's pretty anti-tourist.

Try to stab pigeons.
Actually don't, a cop suggested I should sto chasing them with my pocket knife or he would arrest me. He didn't find it funny at all.

This so touristy but I suggest you check out one world trade. Really cool.

Depends on where you're staying and when you're going. Not really sure what you mean by "non-touristy," though. You could sit at a coffee shop and scroll Craigslist looking for an affordable apt?
Actually, go get a burger and shake at the original Shake Shack in Madison Square Park. Eat it at the outdoor seating and people watch in the shadow of the Flatiron building. Still pretty touristy but not quite "go to MoMA" or "see the Empire State building" level. And if you do want a high rise view of NYC, go to the top of Rockefeller Center, not Empire State. Much quicker line and equivalent view.
