it makes sense because Clemson won the game, is 5-0, yet reporters still talk about Clemsoning which is a phony meme anyway. Who is the last team that Clemson lost to that we should have beat on paper. Won like 32 in a row over unranked teams.

CLemsoning seems like what SC did last season in the 4th quarter, and what Tenn has done twice this season

Spurrier has always seemed a lazy recruiter, Jadaveon Clowney notwithstanding. There's really no excuse that Clemson should ever outrecruit SC when the latter is in the Southeastern Conference.

This. All of this.

The problem with the decline is that it's completely on his shoulders, and he doesn't seem to care. You went from 33-6 ( and still underachieving in '11 and '13), to 7-6 last season. OK, so *that* is your rebuilding year and you plug holes and move forward. But the team is significantly worse this year than it was last year. No work has been done to improve the state of the team.

And during the stretch where beating Clemson's arse was as normal as the sun shining, Spurrier *still* let Dabo out-recruit him inside the state. That's absolutely ludicrous.

The program has fallen into a situation where nepotism and hiring your buddies has become the norm. And the wheels are falling off because there hasn't been a single coaching upgrade since Johnson/Beamer/Graham left.

The capital improvements that have been made during his tenure are real and long-lasting. The next guy to come in should be able to leverage that, and do so quickly, to begin immediately competing for the East again.

Tanner has to know that the writing is on the wall. If he hasn't begun making contact with agents to gauge interest, then he has no business in his role.

And yells at reporters for 3 minutes because they ask him about "clemsoning"

I laughed my arse off at that shite. I watched it like 3 times. He just fed the media exactly what they needed to bait him into acting a fool. Besides, we usually refer to it as "pulling a Clemson"...wonder if that'd bother him as well.

And wtf is that dumbass tater doing on tRant again? Motherfricking hell we can't get away from them anywhere.

If Dabo is a retard, what does that make your inarticulate coach. I can't hardly understand Spurrier.

South Carolina is the worse large state school in football with a stadium that big.

but you want to associate your rival who has owned you over the decades as a loser program with 'Clemsoning'.

lol

Given has little football success SC has had, it seems like your stadium would be about as big as Elon's. lol

I love Spurrier and what he did for UF, but I think SCe is going in the wrong direction

it's certainly time for the OBC to go,, his media circus antics make that fairly clear.. the problem for USCjr is finding another coach that will come close to double digit wins in a season, of course they could always steal Pinkel from us.. ( )

Either way, I agree, the OBC has been great for the game, he's still one of the better offensive coaches we have seen and he is kind of a treasure for the SEC and while it's nice to think he could go out with a big season, the opposite seems far more likely.

ok so why do you want to fire the guy? I don't think he should be fired.

it is curious that ya'll are mocking Dabo's rant when Spurrier called a press conference last summer to do this weird paranoid rant about his enemies, over a negative column on the internet, and then brag about his past success as a coach.

It was stupid when Spurrier did that, too. It reeked of desperation, and a few of us said as much.

Trust me, we were as perplexed about that press conference as y'all were.

lol well Dabo was sick yesterday and in a bad mood and that CLemsoning meme is so stupid.

What is the last team that beat Clemson that Clemson should have beat on paper? All I can think of is DUke once, and Wake Forest twice, during the Bowden years.

I don't think he wanted to be there this season but stayed out of loyalty to SC not leaving them high and dry without a legit big time coach to hire. They better start looking now.
