I am curious as to WHY CBS would choose the A&M/Bama game over the LSU/Florida game.
Viewer numbers.
That's it. Texas A&M will bring a much bigger fan base than all the others.

Not one LSU or UF fan is upset.
Wrong...I am. Bama was on CBS just last week. I wanted day game against LSU. Im sure the LSU AD cried to SEC office to not let CBS televise them. Its ok kittens...you gotta come to the Swamp in 2016 and we will be on CBS in a hot steamy afternoon and your players get to stand on the sideline with direct sunlight on them...our players will be in the shade.
Then the other equation is viewers and CBS should have more viewers...which state has a LOT more TV sets...Fla or Bama?

I'm certain our Administration wasn't lobbying for a night game unlike LSU. They could give zero fks. Simply fan preference on this board.

Don't know but makes me mad...I'd much rather play LSU at 3:30 than night time...crap

May be true. But CBS gives even fewer fricks about what Joe A has to say.
The league office doesn't even care what he has to say.

Jesus. You people will try to troll about anything.
What a weird thread. It appears that many automatically assumed OP was trolling, when he clearly wasn't and really there's no reason I can see to think that he was. LSU wants a night game, OP said he'd rather have an A&M night game. With LSU/UF representing the (at the moment) best teams from both the east and west, why didn't CBS pick that game? The end. And the rant goes bonkers.

Is it real? I doubt it.
Found it on the public TexAgs football board, which I normally avoid. If true that really sucks, but that board is called "the zoo" for a reason.

Night games are a big LSU tradition...

Because A&M vs. Alabama will have greater viewership. Ratings are the only thing considered.

I didn't read anything past the first page. How about this thought.
CBS wants the A&M game because its 2 west teams. That game has more direct impact on the west.

1. It's 2015, see you in Baton Rouge.
2. Nobody cares about your opinion.

Well. CBS cares about one thing. Money. Alabama and Texas A&M is going to be a bigger ratings draw. All the swamp kittens and gators aren't going to draw as many eyeballs as the Aggies and the gumps. The population in the great state of Texas is too much.

Only because TCU/Baylor have actual admission standards compared to aTm.

You don't think it might have something to do with the fact that LSU/UF being an interdivisional game, while Bama/A&M is an intradivisional game meant nothing?
In the big scheme of things, A&M/Bama will have more bearing on the winner in the West than LSU/UF. LSU or UF could lose this game and still run the table and win their respective divisions without anyone else's help.
If A&M loses to Bama or vice versa, then that team is in deep trouble for the West title, especially Bama.

What in the hell are you bitching about?
That 3:30 prime time CBS slot "rules" when it comes to viewers.
Texags.com even posted viewership rankings.
LINK
12 out of top 20...SEC and CBS gives more national exposure than ESPN/ABC/NBC ever thought about.
I guess you are used to a washed out/brown ABC telecast with no pertinence.
Carpe Diem or Nolo contrende...your choice.
You will be on a national stage. You can be embarrassed like UGA or you can back up all the rhetoric.
