NSIAP: Sunny Golloway, what's up Aubie fans?

What's going on with your baseball program? I know I saw something posted yesterday about Golloway being fired for compliance issues, but this seems extra contentious given this statement from Golloway's attorney John Saxon.
quote:
"For Coach Sunny Golloway to be fired by Auburn is outrageous. The allegations against him are pretextual. Coach Galloway has made no mistakes. If some, who want him gone, say mistakes were made, they are the mistakes of others, who have conspired to make him the victim. If it is necessary in the coming days to air these matters, folks from Jay Jacobs on down -- but not Sunny Golloway -- will be the ones wishing Auburn had handled this differently. As for President (Jay) Gogue, he does not know the facts. If he did, he would not have acquiesced in this decision.
"This is a program that hired a disgraced Bruce Pearl, yet now seeks to make a good man and a good coach, who is nothing but a winner, the fall guy.
"Sunny Golloway is not only a winner, he is a fighter. He has four years left on his contract. There are good arguments, which we are prepared to test in court, that he actually has a lifetime contract. If serious offers of severance are not soon forthcoming, we will be fighting this matter in some forum, quite visibly, as long as it takes to redeem Coach Golloway's good name and to provide just compensation for him and his family."

College Baseball Daily has learned that former Auburn Baseball coach Sunny Golloway was fired over having players throwing bullpen sessions with coaches during a time period coaches could not attend. This is an NCAA infraction and could lead to players being ruled ineligible. When Sunny was questioned about the bullpen sessions by Auburn Athletic Department staff, he denied they were going on. But he was caught in the lie as there was video and photo evidence of the bullpens with the coaching staff. This is the reason that current Associate Head Coach and Pitching Coach Tom Holliday has been placed on Administrative Leave also.

Sonny Golloway mentally abused Jeremy Johnson in the athletics building over the summer.

1. Galloway is an insufferable a-hole
2. Jay Jacobs is an insufferable idiot
And the rest is just our usual Auburn crap

There are rumors about him exceeding the NCAA limit on practice hours. Not a huge deal unless you already wanted to get rid of him anyway

When something is wrong with the football program, SOMEBODY is getting fired.

No rumors. Read above. He broke the rules then lied about it.

He wants a buyout to stop bad press. Hush money. guy is an A hole. JJ is an idiot.
If JJ screwed this up and there is a God, this should cost him his job.
ETA: He lied to his boss, he will say he didn't. The practice was not all pitchers, will be self reported as a minor offense to the NCAA

If anything he screwed up by hiring the arse hole. Now he's fixing his mistake because to caught Sonny's frick up. Now they can get off without paying him.

What's the deal with him being such a jerk? I have read this but never seen anything to indicate it?
He always seems very composed in interviews and stuff, very surprising to me.

He locked Bama out of the batting cage last year, then bitched when they asked him to open it for them for batting practice.

Oklahoma did little or nothing to keep him from going to Auburn in the first place because supposedly nobody liked him. His own nephew ended up transferring away from Oklahoma because the two of them couldn't get along

That was such a chicken shite move. The dude, from all indications, is a ginormous asshat.

Thanks, that's pretty bad.

And sounds like Sunny's lawyer is threatening to go public with God knows what on Jacobs.

Maybe that will be the end of Jacobs. I can't imagine we are cheating in baseball so who knows what he could actually say?
