It's his 2 minute defense that really kills....

Will continue to update each week

3rd and Chavis comes into play when his team is up one score late in the 4th and he goes into prevent defense giving up every 3rd down letting the opponent march down the field, not his team's 3rd down conversion % during games when he's up by thirty in the second quarter.

Nevada put 359 yards on yall, Ball state 361 and Az State almost 300. That's nothing to brag about.

Is it 3rd and Chavis? Or 3rd/4th and Chavis?

Your title says 3rd. Your OP has 3rd & 4th.

Conference play is coming. Keep counting.

You know I always like Chavis and really appreciated the work he did at LSU. However after last season and the surfacing of information in regards to his dealing with A$M prior to the conclusion of the season, it's easy to see that the fat man was just mailing it in.

He should have walked away before the bowl game or as soon as he had determined that he was leaving LSU. I would have respected that much more than the way he handled his departure.

I remember thinking UT fans were just pissed Chavis had left and invented 3rd and Chavis. After a few years I knew what they meant. Just wait for a big game.

When you say third down defense, are we talking 3rd down conversion %? If so I think you are selling us short. Link I found has us #1 in the SEC and #8 nationally.

Not sure if the Week 4 thread has been posted yet...

Arkansas: 5/10 on Third Down (A&M 2/9)

1st Downs: A&M (17) - Ark (25)

Total Yds: A&M (423) - Ark (457)

TOP: A&M (20:32) - Ark (39:28)

Judging by the stats, one would think that Arkansas won the game if not for the 2 turnovers.
