that Freeze will be stubborn and stick to a failing running game for the sake of balance instead of going balls out hunh air raid.

I honestly have no doubt that we can win this game. But if Freeze calls a conservative game like LSU last year, instead of an aggressive offense like the first half of the A&M game, we might as well call it a W for bama.

There's nothing wrong with him voicing his concerns. Especially when they're valid because Freeze has shown the tendency to tighten up in big games.

I've got faith that he's learned his lesson, though. He did say that they won't be altering the game plan for Bama this year.

After that post you should never ever question anything I ever post again. Okay that out of the way let's talk about what is Ole MIss and CHF has in front of him. Last year he had a QB with a noodle for an arm with and ego that tried to cash checks he couldn't physically do. Add in the fact that our OL was marginal at best. This year he has a QB that thus far seems to not only have the physical tools but good instincts to boots (granted all vs cupcakes). Additionally even without Tunsil our OL seems to be playing much better. I think he knows he will have to spread the field vertically in order to loosen up Bama's front to the run. Thus I really doubt you'll see a ultra conservative performance like Ole Miss had last year in Red Stick. Capisce?

If Bama comes out in their typical Cover 2, (which the should to respect MGK to Quincy and Core) they will put 5-6 guys in the box to stop the run. That leaves only 3-4 guys across the middle to pick up a combination of the Twin Towers on screens, and TEs and slot receivers on slants, plus the RB in the flat. That's basically single coverage on short routes. If MGK has the patience to, as he says, "dink and dunk" all afternoon, we can move the ball on slants, screens, swings, drags, and out routes. And eventually the safeties will get impatient and creep up.

We don't need a running game to beat Bama. We just have to have the threat of one. If Bama comes out and shows three across the front, and has 4 LBs standing up 10 yards behind the LOS, they will basically be daring us to run. And we will give them a steady diet of pump fake-delay handoff.

The past several years Saban has moved away from the 3-4. But even when they come out in a 3-4 package, it's not their game to stand everyone up in pass coverage. They like to line up big and smash mouth.

CHF has the gameplan to beat Alabama. And for this first time ever, we also have the athletes to beat them.

I thought I clearly said Ole Miss has everything they need to beat bama. I just hope Hugh doesn't make terrible coaching decisions.

Either way, I'm pretty confident the rebs win.

So, you think it's possible that CHF will run the ball 45 times uselessly up the middle against an 8-man front?

With the package of athletes we have, that's not even remotely possible. The ball will be in MGK's hands to win or lose.

I guess what I'm saying is: I'm worried about a lot of things on the Execution side of the game. I'm not worried in the least about our coach having a brain fart.

We may lose the game tonight. But we're not gonna lose it because HF suddenly decides to try to place power football against Alabama.

I'm afraid we score too much and the SEC fines us.

Why are you saying WTF?

Where have you been? It isn't unheard of freeze to make questionable decisions.

Yeah about once a year I admit I am like what was he thinking (Bama 2 years ago and the 2nd half at DV last year) but you can say that about every HC in the country. You make it out like he is Les Miles or something.

I think it's pretty evident just how much his hands were tied on play calling in the past few years. I've got hope that those days are over now that we have a stud at QB.
