Are you serious?

Arrowhead stadium has the world record for loudest crowd roar at 142.2 decibels...a jet engine is 140 decibels at 100 yards.

By comparison, Tennessee's home crowd against Oklahoma was recorded at 114 decibels.

Right team, right stadium, at the right moment I guess. I wonder how that 2003 LSU/UGA last minute catch would measure... but yeah I am serious, that's why I asked. I was misinformed I suppose. I guess I'll have to make a trip there.

120dB is considered the threshold of pain. Arrowhead was over 10x the sound pressure level and 4x the loudness of what is considered painful? 8x as loud as neyland?

I'm sure a gauge peaked at 142.2dB somewhere, but this seems hard to believe. Was this during a game, or "everyone yell now"?

140?

In 2007, the noise level in Tiger Stadium was measured at 130 decibels

That was when the stadium held 92,400. Now it seats 102,300.

Don't bring that weak-assed shite in here, we're talking about major SEC stadiums.
