How long before the 'touchy-feely' crowd expresses outrage at McElwain’s tirade?

Let me say this, I don't blame McElwain one bit. If I was a head coach and a guy gets a 15 yarder just showing his arse? He is not only going to hate me on the sidelines, but in practice he will be wishing he was anywhere else.
The reason I wonder if McElwain will escape the 'touchy-feely' crowd's faux outrage is an incident that happened to Fulmer.
A player showed his arse after a TD and got us a 15 yarder. When he came off the field Fulmer grabbed him by the facemask and pulled him about a half-inch from his face and ripped into him hard.
Next thing you know some 'journalists' and sensitive idiots were questioning his treatment of the players.
Think McElwain will catch flack? I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

If i was Fred Taylor, I'd call Mac and thank him personally.

He will be apologizing in his Monday press conference

Not surprised. I hope McElwain tells them to kiss his arse.

I promise your McElwain couldn't care less what the media thinks of him at UF at this stage. Foley kind of set the precedent with WM there that the media doesn't have any influence on things.
@Kelvintaylor21: I love coach Mac!!! He's going make me a better person Got nothing , but respect for him! #GatorNation ????

Already has a little bit. As a fan I liked it. It was a stupid penalty that hurt the team and was completely unnecessary. We had reminences of the Muschamp era in that game, and you could tell Mac wasn't happy- from is in game reactions to his post game press conference. It was a sloppy game.
What I'm more interested to see is how we respond. Under Muschamp, when we played a game like that, the next week there was no change. I'm very interested to see how we come out and play against Kentucky next weekend. We have more talent and are the better program, but they're coming off a big win and have confidence and momentum. Mac is going to give it to them at practice no doubt, but how they respond and perform against Kentucky will be more telling to me than anything else.

I had a coach like that - demanded smart play and didn't accept anything less. Gators will stomp Kentucky if they have any chest. frick the feel gooders.
I think Florida got a keeper.

If you lose to UK, would you change your opinion that UF beats UT? Fwiw, last night made me somewhat less confident in a Vol win there, although I'm still predicting one for now.

This is what I want to think too. I have to see it first, but if we come out and shite stomp UK, it is going to be a very, very satisfying night for our program and the future of our program.
However if we come out flat, don't execute, and look lost, it'll make me feel like we're still in the middle of the Muschamp era. Hopefully we can respond to Mac's coaching this weekend and put it on Kentucky. It's a turning point kind of thing for this season and beyond.

Personally I don't like to have my head coach acting like a crazed lunatic on the sidelines, but to each his own.

Honestly, I think UT shits the bed against Florida no matter what happens against Kentucky. I think Florida will beat Tennessee 24-10ish.
Now the ole miss game... That might be a beat down....

Rather my coach acting like a madman on the sidelines than the players acting like fools on the field.

This is the South, nobody will give a shite, we all grew up being coached like that at much lower levels of football.

They sure ripped on Fulmer for it, and that was 20 years ago.

Gators will win East if players can hang with Mac. Youth today are entitled pussies, but ones that have discipline are unstoppable.
