Was 4th down. Ejection. Overturned but penalty still stood.

Yeah, he made that about as non violent as he possibly could

uhhh no, this was worse from the same game. Only it wasn't overturned.
this was bad too although "targeting" wasn't around yet. Still, it kept their drive alive in a 1 possession game in the 4th quarter and then scored to put it out of reach. It was absolute bullshite. Only reason they threw a flag was because it looked bad. Reshad led with his shoulder and hit blackmon square in the chest. It was perfectly and totally legal.

At least that was a blow to the head....... Sort of

Well I think if ANYTHING it could have been roughing the passer. But the other one was probably the most fundamental cleanest tackle you can make.
ATTN: notice once again the refs flag coming out before th hit.

only it wasn't. Ray had both his hands out to stop from hitting the QB too bad and slow his momentum. The QB's head moved upon impact, which would happen anytime any player is tackled in football.

I know that was slow motion but the QB hit looked late is all.

I agree it's a late hit, but not targeting. Ejection should have been overturned. IIRC, that crew got reamed by the office after that game.

Looks like targeting to me... this is the way you do it and not get a call.

The first one shouldn't be a penalty, but the 2nd one should. Can't extend the arms like that way after the ball is thrown. That has nothing to do with your momentum.

Seriously? I thought football was a violent sport. He led with his shoulder and hit the receiver on the shoulder not his head.
You are insinuating a football player has to make each hit as "Nonviolent as they can"?
Lefty is not right.

WE all agree that it could be called a late hit or unnecessary roughness....but what about that hit would qualify it as targeting? targeting is what was called and the player ejected.
