Saw this on reddit. Are Tennessee fans really trying to convince Sooner fans not to wear their crimson and to wear white so they can participate in the checkering?

much of the hype surrounding the OK-TN game this Saturday is being built up by what is becoming a yearly event, "Checkering Neyland". So I've seen/heard Vol fans pleading and asking Oklahoma fans to do their part in the act.

Many Tennessee fans are simply asking visiting Sooner fans to simply wear white shirts that still show support for OU. This obviously would break up the "checkering" to some degree, but wouldn't "taint" the image by adding crimson red into the stadium.

So here lies an interesting question. Should OU fans feel any pressure to wear white and avoid any confrontation by ruining a spectacle such as this? Would it be so hard for Sooner fans to simply root their team on wearing predominantly white? Or do OU fans have the right to wear whatever they want and say "screw you" to TN fans' attempt at creating a visual spectacle?

Not against Sooner fans representing in their crimson, just interested to hear outside opinions.

eff them. Every Bama fan worth his or her salt wore white to the 2008 "Black Out" game in Georgia.

Florida fans still wore blue last year and the stadium was a sight to behold regardless. I expect it to be similar this year. Also red doesn't stand out as much from orange as blue does.

Serious as the post-game discussions by OU fans.

Mediocrity creep is a serious focking matter.

What would you expect from a group of people who think it is perfectly acceptable to insert a large funnel into their own arse and pour alcohol into it to absorb rectally?
