That's what it is. Just right above trailer park logic, that's why you don't understand.

LSU hasn't won a major bowl game since 2007, and they've lost 4 in a row to Alabama. There isn't much to "brag" about from their perspective, so they cling to anything they can. Most fans pull for their guys in the league. LSU fans don't love their players and hope for their success more than fans of any other school, it just seems that way because they're very vocal about it, again because it's the only thing they can really point to and brag about right now. I welcome the onslaught of downvotes, but everyone reading this knows it to be true whether they're willing to admit it or not.
If LSU were dominating college football, they'd stil support their former players, but you wouldn't see as much chest thumping over those guys success in the NFL. It's starting to become a tricky argument for them, because now Alabama has more superstars in the league than they do. They'll need to start winning some ball games against Bama or they won't have a talking point at all, and will just have to bend over and accept defeat
Lacy, Jones, Hightower, Dareus, Mosley are bonafide NFL studs. LSU has Peterson, Williams, Whitworth, OBJ and a lot of role players.

Maybe if you were more enamored with your former players and supported their success post college life you would get donations and ambassadors like Patrick Peterson donating 1 million, Shaq and all his contributions, Donnie Jones and his donations to the special teams facility and another recent great ambassador like OBJ which in turns creates a lifelong bond with our college and makes LSU a family. I think that makes a recruit want to become a part of something bigger than just his 3-4 years. They know they will forever be a tiger and always have a home.....just my two cents

They're using the olde English spelling of enamored. Very classy.

Are you having some kind of allergic reaction to bowl losses to Oklahoma and Ohio?

I only upvoted that because we're friends. I still don't like what you said, though.

I guess when most of your players fail in the NFL routinely it makes one feel better to take digs at schools who produce more NFL ready talent than you do.

The goal of any school is to prepare the student for the next level. I am happy to see any young man achieve success after representing his school. Partial to LSU, but I share that same hope for every player.
Usually these young men have tremendous work ethics and dedication. They are men first. They will go on to hopefully have families and be productive in society. I support and respect any one working to achieve that goal.

Yep..Patrick Peterson, OBJ, Jarvis Landry, Jeremy Hill, Honey Badger, Eric Reid and many, many more did nothing at LSU.

Holy shite. Now they have resorted to the Auburn gimmick shite of thinking these ex hired guns are family.
And by hired guns I mean college athletes in general, because most are not students.
