Watching the Bama game last night, that big left tackle of theirs was blatantly holding all damn night...he ran one block 20 yards up the field, 2 fists full of jersey...no call. This is illegal for every other team in the SEC, maybe even the country. But every year its never flagged on the Tide. makes me think the west is going to be played with a stacked deck....again

We had like 3 or 4 holding penalties called last night. Alabama actually gets called for holding at about the same rate or higher than the rest of the country. You're learning from the rant instead of actual stats.
Also that's Cam Robinson.

If you are holding jersey on the inside, that is not holding.

The rant still can't get over how our offensive line never got called for holding in 2009. Six years later and they're still bitching about it.

Cam Robinson...great player. He gets away with some holds for the same reason Shaq could drive the lane running over three stationary defenders, propelling them into the stands on his way to jumping 3 inches off the ground for a slam dunk. He is considered to be a great player, therefore, he's just got to be that good.

This. And holding will almost never be called unless there is some "pulling" going on, or your act of holding is stopping a defender from being able to change directions.
Good luck getting a flag thrown when you're on roller skates, regardless of where those hands are.

Jesus man, at least pick your battles for when you want to bitch about the refs. It was a game in Dallas, against a Big Ten school, with Big 12 referees.
Here are the penalties from the game:
Wisconsin: 5- 50 yds Bama: 11- 120 yards
Those refs were calling holding, defensive pass interference, and offensive interference on Bama every chance they could.

If he's pushing and his hands are inside, it's not holding no matter how much jersey he is grabbing.
It's holding when the hands get outside the shoulders or he's pulling the defender away from the play.

Also that block he took down field was a Db very impressive.
And he whiffed on s verbal block which caused hits on his qb.

Absolutely. But everyone should know the one unit that benefits from experience and playing together more than any other unit it the offensive line. They're going to merge together nicely.

he didnt play his best game, that's for sure.
on one play in the first half he shuffled his man over to the RB and Henry hit the guy pretty good. But credit the Wisconsin defender for staying on his feet and getting to the QB. On another play earlier in the first half he let his man get around him pretty easy and get a sack. Then in the second half he had a bad holding call but it looked like there was much confusion and Coker didnt get the play in.
But he's still good.
