Did Murray let it get to him at times?

He just seemed as he was tired after 2 series. I like what he does, but someone is going to have to teach him to control his breathing.

Also what's his injury status? Allen showed he's the leader of that offense, which is great to have if he gets benched again. I'm of the opinion the team picks the QB not the coaches.

He looked pretty composed to me. Sure he had an adrenaline rush and then came down a bit. Besides, it's not like he came into the game with a offense that was running smooth already.

His pass down the sideline that was intercepted was a beautiful throw. He made a young mistake and stared at the receiver the entire time. Safeties get over on the deep ball in college. Good lesson for him.

Allen is best option right now because he knows the offense. Will take Kyler another 4 or 5 weeks to be able to run it like KA can now.

Any evaluation of Murray at this point is pretty much worthless. True freshman getting thrown into the middle of a big opening game. I laughed so hard at the LSU fan's evaluation on the Rant of Murray's performance I couldn't even muster a response.

Won't happen

Allen will be playing lights out, Murray will be looking like a super weapon and used strategically though

Unfortunately I think our Oline won't allow that to happen. I foresee them continuously allowing pressure to reach Allen not giving him enough time to make the plays. Essentially forcing the qb change where murrays running threat to gash you will keep defenses at bay a bit.

From what I've seen of Murray's high school highlights, he is used to playing behind a dominant offensive line. But he was having to deal with a blitz happy ASU defense that wanted to pressure the QB at all costs last night.

He is going to have to adjust to being quicker with his reads and less jittery in the pocket.

He's definitely already a threat as a runner though. Alot of potential in him as a QB. I think we will continue to play him some here and there.

But Allen is clearly the better passer at this point. Allen needs to take better care of the football if he wants to keep Murray off the field.

i agree that Allen has the knowledge of the offense, however he seemed to be playing inconsistent football to me last night. I think it an error and a little bit of a dig towards Allen that the broadcasters last night were insinuating that Murray will become a better QB than the ever colorful Manziel. That being said, Murray did seem to have the speed to shake things up. All in all, it will be a great season, especially with Carson coming through when Garrett got injured. in the meantime, Tbird will be entertaining us with his drunken revelry. Aggie football is finally back and i'm stoked!!

Absolutely. I'm also hoping that Allen was just a little too jacked up on emotions playing against his home state school and knowing a lot of the opposing players. Also it was the first game and they were bringing pressure every play.

That said they have two games where I want to see massive improvements from everyone on the offensive side of the ball from play calling to players.

It's getting mushy in herr. I'm about to start making Billy Kennedy jokes.

Billy Kennedy is our coach. That's the biggest joke of them all.

I had to partake in some shameless self congratulatory back slapping. It's not often I get one right.
