Can Tennessee finally get over the elusive 7 win hump?

It's been an astounding seven year drought (that's right, seven) since the Tennessee Volunteers have won more than 7 games in a season. If you're 21 years of age, you've spent a third of your life watching a once proud program dwell into a pit of mediocrity that seemingly has no light at the end of the tunnel. 1998 is nearing closer and closer to it's 20 year anniversary - so with that, lets ask ourselves this question: When is it time to stop basking in the memories of previous accomplishments and finally call a spade a spade? Personally, I think Tennessee could make some noise here and there, but ultimately the program is falling in line with the Nebraska's and Miami's of today's landscape (I use that comparison very loosely considering those two have a much more storied and accomplished history)
Sorry for going astray there. Let's proceed with the topic. Is 2015 the year Butch Jones and crew manage to get their coveted 8th win? That'd be a major step in the right direction for those guys.

I like to hate on those orange cocksuckers more than your average person, but Ole Miss wishes they were Tennessee.

It's more recent than Ole Miss' last NC.

Why do people act like Tennessee suddenly only won 3 games per year since 1998? Up until 2007, they were just as competitive annually as Georgia

Another Tennessee thread started by an OM fan, I'm super surprised. Listen fellas, congrats on your win last year but we don't want to be your rival.
To answer your question, yes.

I think the better question is can Ole Miss finally get over the hump and get a 2nd place finish in the SEC West. We all know they will never win the SEC or even make it to Atlanta, since the program has generally sucked since the invention of color TV and such a feat is unrealistic for a slip-shod program like Ole Miss. But my god, them getting a 2nd place SEC West finish one day would be a sight to see. Here's to the little guys of the SEC!

Because I'm an Ole Miss fan that excludes me from asking legitimate questions concerning other teams in the conference? Makes sense

At least we have accomplishments.

Except it isn't a legitimate question. It's a thread aimed at making fun of the Tennessee posters on this board. This thread is actually a microcosm of how this place is getting worse and worse. I know it. You know it. We all know it.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but isn't Tennessee one of only about 4 college teams to never lose more than 7 games in a season?

This exactly. Yes, we all know UT has sucked donkey dick the past 7 years, and it has made us low-hanging fruit when it comes to trolling. But good lord, this is no honest question, it's mindless and pointless flaming. Honestly, threads like these are of the same quality as many of Serraneaux/Phat Phil's that everyone bitches about.

They easily could win 8 games this year, and I would say that's pretty much the most popular prediction.
Additionally, I wouldn't say Miami and Nebraska are more storied or accomplished either. I'd put them all on par.
Finally, I graduated from Ole Miss and it's people like you that almost certainly never went there that embarrass our fanbase.

Exactly how I feel about reading troll threads.

Excellent points, especially the last part.

The Vols get there sooner rather then later unless the bottom completely falls out. I think they have a good shot at getting 8+ wins this year. If not this year then next year should be their year with the maturation of talent.
If I was buying college football stock so to speak I'd have the Vols as a buy.
