Not quite what you're asking but we used to be able to go onto the field after a game and just hang out, toss around a ball or take pictures.
Unfortunately, the SEC rules put an end to that.
Say what? What for?

Picture day in late August & Countdown to Kickoff which was yesterday...
quote:
For those that don't know, Countdown to Kickoff is a charity event held each summer on the University of Georgia campus that benefits The Georgia Transplant Foundation and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Hosted by former Bulldogs David Greene, Matt Stinchcomb, and Jon Stinchcomb, Countdown to Kickoff includes a golf tournament, auction, and the aforementioned Fan Festival. While the golf tournament and auction raise a great deal of money for GTF and CHA, the majority of people go for the Fan Festival.
This year's fan festival took place from noon until 3 pm and was an absolutely great day. Among the activities at the festival were autographs and pictures with current and former Bulldogs, performances by the cheerleaders and the Redcoats, rides for kids, running drills and playing two-hand touch with former players, and free food from Your Pie, Carrabba's, and Johnsonville. Not a bad deal for 25 bucks.

Every other year is not 200.

It makes sense for LSU to host events like this. The Superdome is the only thing similar in size in the state. We have NRG, Jerrywold, and the Alamodome all within 3.5 hours drive in cities with a combined population of about 16 M.

Countdown To Kickoff
..and is it just me, or is that not in Sanford?

If you're trying to make the case that similar events at Kyle Field wouldn't go over well with students, fans, and local kids...no sale.
Just admit you didn't think of it, and move on...

It's a biennial when Aggies drive to Baton Rouge thinking they'll win. It's a bicentennial when Aggies drive back having done so.

We don't need public events to earn money

So screw the students, fans, and local kids, amirite!

Quite honestly, these kind of events should know no boundaries or be limited to a single fan base.
Everyone should get a chance to enjoy these kind of events, everywhere.

I didn't think of what? You seem awfully defensive.
Why would you host an event at a stadium of 100K when there are only 225K in the BCS area when you could host an event indoors at NRG (70K), Minute Maid (40K), Toyota (20K) in a city of 6+M. It just doesn't make sense.
I guess you're proud of these things, but it seems rather trivial.

Tell that to these kids....

...they're obviously having a blast. You're saying no kid in College Station would enjoy camping out in Kyle Field...that's really you're position?

I believe Auburn has held graduations JHS, but as far as an annual event I don't think so besides the HS playoffs every other year. AU is pretty protective of the turf IMO

I thought it was very common for college graduations to happen in the stadium?
