for being at a party with a couple sports agents right

it wasnt for just being at a party with agents. it was because the agents paid for them to come to miami and everyone also lied in the beginning about it

Seems like Chad Bumphis and one of our lineman were caught up in that. Don't remember anything coming of it though.

This total post is closer to fully accurate than the one you responded to. Post you responded to said bama had players suspended. Not true. Only had one player suspended (Dareus). However, the bolded part is not accurate. Dareus told the truth from the beginning which is why he - while at the same party as everyone else and at that party on the dime of an agent - had a lighter penalty than everyone else.

Players are allowed to have contact with agents, just not accept anything of value. at Bama they have a process of bringing agents in and allowing them to talk to players on campus during their first season of draft eligibility along with a coach, a member of compliance, and the player's family. Any agent who does not want to talk under these terms is not extended the offer in the future. That's not to say players don't have the conversations outside of this process (they do), but it gives Bama a ton of cover with NCAA for having process in place to attempt to proactively deal with it.
