2003 USC. They crushed everybody other than their one hiccup game.

Shame the coaches had to vote the winner of the other game #1.

SC was clearly the best team that year.

Shame the ap went rogue and went agianst the agreed upon arragnement.


Everyon agreed in 98 to abide by the BCS system. Whoever won the BCS CG between 1 and 2 was the national champ. That was LSU. Not USC. The AP was but a part of the BCS whole..no different than the harris poll or colley matrix. Starting in 04 it went from "doesn't count" to "literally means nothing".

Curious about this debate when 2003 USC team does not win the BCS championship

The best team every year is the BCS title game winner

Every team signs on to this so should the fans
