Nice misleading thread title. You didn't mention the fact he also administered field hockey, the single most brutal sport known to man. And woman. Mostly woman.

Also...Hockey. Michigan had 8 Olympians in Sochi (the only Olympics while DeBord was there). Three Hockey players and the rest were skaters. Schools who brought home the most medals in Sochi:

Minnesota - 5 (0 gold, 5 silver, 0 bronze)
Westminster College - 5 (3 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze)
Michigan - 4 (2 gold, 0 silver, 1 bronze)
Wisconsin - 4 (0 gold, 4 silver, 0 bronze)
Harvard - 4 (0 gold, 4 silver, 0 bronze)

So, they did pretty well, relatively speaking, with DeBord running the program. Only Westminster brought back more Gold than Michigan.
