1. Texas- Resources, fans support, not an overly tough conference.

2. Bama- Resources only eclipsed by Texas, fans suport only surpassed by Notre Dame, mayybeee Texas but would be close. SEC is tough but Bama is the next thing to being THE state school without actually being that. Auburn isn't as close in money and fans support as most are lead to believe

3. USC- Super fertile recruiting ground. Great private school donations, no pro football and a relatively weak conference with only Oregon, UCLA and Stanford capable of being great and 2 of those are somewhat stretches because they can't be great perenially.

4. Penn State- Beast of the east for years. Pitt used to be a threat but hasn't been much of one since they no longer play PSU every year. Big 10 schedule is suspect with OSU and Mich being perenially good. MSU and Wisky are good but not every year. Great fan support, football school, great resources. Not far from being the top job.

5. Oklahoma- Great resources, fan support. Like Texas a conference that is winnable every year. Sit in a great recruiting area with Texas right there and it being a border rivalry get great Texans to come over.

Replace Penn State with Ohio State and that's s strong top five. PSU just doesn't belong in that tier.

This will come across as bias, but I don't view the attractiveness Alabama job with the same esteem as their tradition would suggest. Saban has skewed the perception of the position a bit as he is probably the best recruiter of all time and gets an immense amount of talent that likely wouldn't happen to the same degree again.

The job will be better than it was before his arrival, but it doesn't have the advantages of other elite programs. That's not to say it's Nebraska or Miami, but it's not Texas or USC either. It's definitely still a top 10 job, but I would put UF and UGA above it when considering all other factors beyond simply tradition.
