You guys have never been there, have you?

Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania are awesome trips. Hershey is worth it as well. Ohio is just as close...especially in the Eastern Hill and Valley Region. Interior West Virginia is the most beautiful place that you would ever see in the U.S.... especially during fall for sightseeing and winter for skiing. So many mountains. Very underrated state.

It's time for you to come clean and admit that you're a West Virginia fan. And you've been trolling this board.

I'm guessing the Big 12 doesn't look like a long-term prospect, and West Virginia fans would love to find a home here...

I don't think any of us are saying that West Virginia isn't pretty. Heck, I'd love to visit there myself someday.

But that doesn't make WVU belong in the SEC.

And I get that you don't like A&M in the SEC. In fact, I get it that you just don't like us. But I can tell you that we are really happy to be a part of the family and feel that we have finally come home. I'm sorry you don't see that.

I love Mizzou and Texas A&M in the SEC.

I can't stand the thought of West Virginia in the SEC. Their fans are complete trash. It will never happen. UNC, UVA, Clemson, or FSU only, nobody else.

Honestly, I am not trying to slam LSU fans...but they seem the same as WVU fans to me. You guys are practically twins. Even your own languages are confusing.

I'm just guessing here, but would your last name happen to be Clampett?

Like almost everyone on here says, taking WVU into the SEC would be a huge mistake.

WVU is a sub-par academic institution with mediocre athletics in a small, poor state. Those are all objective facts. The fact that a high percent of the fans are absolute trash just bolsters the argument that WVU is an unattractive target.

People talk about LSU fans and Bama fans being bad, and there are obviously sh*tty fans of those two schools (Bama in particular has had some high profile instances of crazy), but I have been to games at all three places and WVU had by far the highest percent of people who were just trash. Yelling obscenities at opposing fans and trying to bait people into physical altercations. I have never seen anything like it. They were confrontational before, during, and after the WVU-Auburn game.

West Virginia is a beautiful state though.

So are you implying the SEC could contract? If so I guess fiscally the SEC would be best served financially on the SEC Network to look more like this?

East
Tennessee
Florida
South Carolina
Kentucky
Georgia
UNC

West
Alabama
Auburn(can't get rid of a Big 6 school so the State of Alabama will be the only doubled up state)
Ole Miss or Miss St
LSU
Arkansas
A&M

We could keep Missouri and not add UNC or a Virgina achool but I think it would bring more revenue and be a better fit.

Losing Vandy doesn't probably hurt any at all fiscally with the SECN but hurts the academic reputation for sure.

Either one of the Miss schools could leave and not hurt really in anyway except for tradition.

12 teams splitting the same pie would get each school about 6-10 more million a year just on current numbers.

This is the key point!

All power conferences need at least 1 private schools to prevent open records laws from invading conference data.

I can see (2) 12 team conferences (ACC and PAC) and (2) 14 team conferences (B1G and SEC)

what teams does the ACC lose?

What I see is Notre Dame being forced to become a full member and the ACC adding a 16th team

I can see Wake Forest being the first to fall

Small private school in a state with 3 other schools means 4th place in NC

After that we will see who in the ACC will join the arms race and who says Tulane and Chicago got it right when they went the other way. Nobody would have predicted Chicago would drop out near the peak, but they did.

Say 3 years from now 100 million in annual sports revenue is what it takes and you are a current P5 school with annual revenues of 50 or 60 million?
