I don't get a single cent back from the SEC no matter how much they expand. How am I richer as a result?
Don't you care about your team and how well they do? Want nice facilities and therefore nice recruits? Money matters to more than just your pocketbook, it helps deliver a quality product. Or would you prefer all the talent going to the B1G for THEIR facilities instead?
Stop thinking about it the same way a goldfish would. The SEC isn't in some magic bubble, it has to keep up with the competition.

I see all of the support you are getting from your own fanbase on tRant. Carry on.

again, create new or expand in existing markets.
I'm for plucking teams away from the ACC, but many of them are under contracts with expensive exit clauses. Maryland got hit hard when it moved to the Big 10

Well no shite. That link was mostly students. Bama students are the same way. That chick expected that
Of course she did, she's an LSU student who worked for the school paper. And working in Louisiana for years, I've had plenty never heard so much snack talk. Leading up to the Nola BCS title, workers quit calling me by my name, and just started calling me Bama.
Once again, y'all are crazy, drunken, wildmen; but y'all are cool and always fun to party with, so I wouldn't change a thing.

UNC and UVA/VT are the only options IMO.
The only reason I don't list NCST is because UNC BoT is also the BoT for NCST. Is big brother( UNC) going to be happy with little brother (NCST) making more money than they will through TV rights? Doubt it. Can NCST drum up enough support to separate themselves from UNC? Maybe, but I doubt it.
UVA/UNC would be home run additions. Instead academic credibility+ barrels of TV sets. IDK how both would feel about their non-revenue sports (namely Lacrosse) taking a dump, but otherwise it would be a reat move for all parties.

You gain nothing by expanding into a marker you are already in. You can't get more television sets. New markets are what drive conference expansion and that'd why we are going into Virginia and Carolina next go around

State lines and total population is the current metric.

Have you seen TV shots from their games? Nobody gives a damn about Miami football.

Perhaps so. What do you mean by "brass?" I have never heard that phrase. Thank you in advance.
And, I assure you, you might think that having Texas A&M being added to the SEC was "God's gift to humanity"...but there are many, many people in the original SEC Conference that never wanted you guys in the first place.

agreed. There would be nice benefits to adding those schools
Posted on 6/2/15 at 10:18 pm to Mister Tee
Tell me, who would be better additions to the conference than Texas A&M and Mizzou?

I can't believe this dumb frick got 6 pages.. damn ya'll are bored tonight.

I am bored. Plus realignment is a fun topic.

SEC will not expand until UNC and UVA are ready to join. Which is probably going to be never.
I also highly doubt any little brothers from those states would be acceptable, but I won't discount it completely.

Brass = higher ups, officials
I said nothing about Texas A&M being God's gift to humanity .
Of course there are those who didn't welcome our university to the SEC.
Trust me when I say, the same can very much be said about many of our folks who wanted nothing to do with the SEC.
Change is hard.
It's one of the reasons why sometimes it's best to keep emotions out of big business decisions.
