Hows that compare to the movie? Is it that much more detailed and different?

I love classics. I'm not into the romance novel thing so it's always been low on my list, but I bought it the other day and I'm definitely going to tackle it after I finish Blood Meridian. I love the movie.

there is so much more going on than just the romance, which is why I can read it.
the author does a good job of making the romance the central part of the story without keeping it in the focus.
I dare anyone to not feel a righteous indignation in their stomach when Rhett tells Scarlett he doesn't give a damn.

I'm on overload since Monday last day of school.
But the last book I read was Confessions, St Augustine. It's my go to when I find myself doubting myself at home and work.
In the last month I had 3 kids arrested and 4 suspended for dumb assery. Struggled not bringing stuff home.

"The Municipal Water and Wastewater Design-Build Handbook: 3rd Edition"
Learning a bit more about my new job before I start it
Planning on reading "The 100 Year Decision" about conference realignment later this summer.
Finished the Divergent series before that. Fun read.

Looking forward to reading it. I can one up my SO. I'm not even from the south. He went to a private school in the south, plus Alabama for undergrad and an Atlanta law school... and he's never read it.
