Hmmm, how did Alabama skip the all SEC bracket?

We had to deal with Chamberlin and OU last weekend. She almost single-handedly beat us. Survived that, and now we have to deal with Michigan. I would rather have a shot at anyone but Florida. Florida seems to own us in OKC.

I know that we have 5 SEC teams in the brackets so it's bound to happen, but dang, could they have made those brackets any worse? 2 SEC teams will automatically be thrown into the loser bracket right off.

They did the same thing last weekend to Kentucky by sending them to Gainesville.

Why not put 3 in one bracket and 2 in the other?

These brackets are fricked worse than the greatest tv show bracket over on the movie board.

To me, that would be the thing to do. But I guess they want the 3 non SEC teams to have more a chance?

Five teams from one conference hasn't happened since 1999. It's just a product of five teams making it. You can't avoid them having to play each other. Michigan/Bama is the only non conference matchup in the opening round, and even then the two teams have already played twice this year.

I realize that you can't avoid them playing each other. But having them play on the first day? They could have split it up better and had 2 teams playing each other and the others be non-conference. I think it would have been a little more balanced that way. But I don't make the brackets so my opinion doesn't matter

Typically I'd agree, but these are all seeded teams and, by bracket alone, are the teams expected to make it to OKC. They could have easily seeded the teams a little differently to avoid this.

You can't have it both ways. Every SEC team in OKC hosted a Super because they were top eight seeds. The committee recognized the power shift to the SEC. It's rare to have a WCWS where every team there has faced their opponent at least twice.
