This thread is awful, and you should feel bad about yourself for starting it.

Damn son...you're reaching.
That isn't the Gov's mansion. That is in Montgomery. This is a beach house they used to use. I'm glad it hasn't been fixed up seeing as the state is broke

Thanks for your outstanding attempt to draw attention away from my shitty Arkansas thread. It's not just anyone who will create something this pathetic just to jump on the grenade for another poster.
Appreciate it, Man.

That is a shame they atleast won't return it to the original property owner, especially if it's just going to sit there and rot. I'm sure he could get a lot for that property
But I agree terrible troll idiot boy

So a state government not throwing money at a beachfront mansion when there is a deficit is a bad thing?

Since when is the government in the business of giving things back? The guy was a Wallace fanboy, he should have thought it through.

Haha never. They wouldn't give you a penny if your life depended on it

I've lived in Alabama my entire life and I never knew there was a Govenor's mansion on the coast until the dumbass OP started this thread.

I think the point would be that the property being in such a state of disrepair would negatively effect the home values in the area.
There are zoning laws in many places that don't allow this type of thing.

And who enforces the zoning laws? Remember, do as I say, not as I do.

The property is owned by the State of Alabama. Any effort by a local jurisdiction to enforce any type of ordinance would be met with (once the laughing stopped) a quick 'go frick yourself'.
