so you walked out early at Grant Dunp in 1997 and 2013?

The Hawks are so beat up right now... totally out of sync... They look nothing like they were a few months ago.... The Hawks have a lot of major decisions to make in the off season.... Free agency and the draft...

Kyle Korver ruled out for rest of playoffs...

Better than anyone could realistically expect.

Yes and the future is bright, we have a lot of options thanks to a favorable cap situation. The COTY returning and a good core.

I have to lean the other way and be a pessimist here. I think the chances are high that we saw the best version of this Hawks team this past year.
They had an insane win streak that is unrepeatable (they were a 50 win team if you give them a 66% winning percentage over those 29 games), and after Korver came back down to earth in the second half, they looked pretty mortal.
Teague might not have reached his ceiling yet, and Carroll could take his game to the next level, but I don't know if you can reasonably expect any other major contributor to improve markedly.
Hopefully they turn into the real version of the Spurs and can maintain the ball movement and fluid defense through the playoffs. Even if they don't improve from a record standpoint over the next few years, consistently being one of the top 2 teams in the East isn't unrealistic.

And Carroll is reportedly interested in going to the Knicks...

If the Hawks spend wisely they could be even better. So much untapped potential on a team full of selfless players and good defenders. The missing piece is they don't really have a go to performer. They don't have a Tim Duncan like the Spurs had. No one can take over a game when it's needed unless shots are falling from deep. The Hawks need a big man and they need depth. One injury to the best ATL defender and you could see the wheels start to fall off.

That's the Catch-22 though, right? You have to find a guy with the ability to be a superstar when necessary, but who plays selflessly for the rest of the time. If they go out and get a star, it throws off the team-first dynamic (hello, Joe Johnson!). That is what Lebron doesn't get enough credit for, and it's why no one will replicate the Spurs success as effectively - there is only one Timmy D.
