The 6-foot-9 Holman also had offers from schools such as VCU, Xavier, Texas, Cincinnati, and Memphis, but ultimately he chose to go with Mississippi State who made him feel at home.
Currently Holman is ranked as a four-star in the class of 2016, but he will be adjusted into the class of 2015 where he now again resides.

I've seen this kid play a few times here in Kentucky. He has the potential to be a great defender and rebounder, but early on I'd expect basically put-backs and lobs to constitute his offense. That's not a knock, necessarily. If Howland can polish him he'll be pretty good--can run and jump very well for his size. If I remember correctly, he played with a shorter, fat 5 man in high school who was crazy productive and (at least in the games I saw) the primary offensive post option.

Before Shaka left VCU I thought he'd end up there because he is well suited for "havoc."
