Is the Big 12 still a power conference?

First I will say this is not a slam on any individual team. The Big 12 does have some good teams. Now on to the facts.
The Big 12 was last again for the number of players drafted among the "Power 5" confernces. I can't even find the last time they had at least 30 players drafted total.
They have put out less than half the number of players drafted than the SEC for several years now.
Pair the lack of talent coming out of the Big 12 with no representation in the first College Football playoff, no conference championship game and no one playing in a BCS Championship game since 2009.
I have no love lost toward the Big 12 but it is kinda sad to see what was once a great football conference become a shell of it's former self. I guess they have no one to blame but themselves.

Missouri fans sure like to dog the Big 12 wouldn't they sucked in the Big 12.
The Big 12 will eventually implode or become a weak conference since Oklahoma will eventually move to a new conference and Texas could go to the Pac 12 or go independent.

Well Texas blew up the conference and they suck. They were every bit as good as the SEC back in the day. Case study on management vs mismanagement.

Yep....Texas fricked it up. Colorado always wanted to go west and had a chance to do it so they took the opportunity.
Nebraska was tired of having to deal with Texas politics and left.
I doubt Oklahoma is satisfied and will jump to the B1G eventually.

Frankly I'm surprised OU stayed this long. Texas acting like shatheads when they had programs like OU and Nebraska always bewildered me.

you nailed it.
Imagine if the Big 12 would have been forward thinking. Kept the original 12 members and added teams like Louisville, TCU, Cincy and WVU.

Texas is the kiss of death. Consider, for a moment, what Arkansas and Texas A&M both lost when they bolted away from a conference with Texas in it.
Their biggest rivalry, particularly with the old money boosters. Gone. A recruiting showcase that could swing some good kids your way. Gone. A national spotlight game that, win or lose, puts you on a ton of TVs. Gone.
I bet you that the vast majority of us in both fan bases still think it was worth it. Texas destroyed the SWC. They are in the process of wiping out the Big-12. The only real question is what conference is foolish enough to take them in after all this?

If no then that means that Ole Miss got the brakes beat off them by a non Power conference team.
I'll allow it.
I'll allow it.

By being a bunch of arrogant fairy primadonnas.
SWC and Big 12 killers...
Next step should just be to kill themselves...can't even sell tickets anymore in one of the fastest growing places in the entire country.

Oklahoma... And what would have happened to you guys in that bowl game? Do the scoreboards even go over 99?

I would also like to hear an honest answer from a WVU fan about if they think the move to the Big 12 turned out to be a good move for them.

Not unless they can politically separate themselves from okie lite. That's the anchor around their neck right now.

what else were we supposed to do? WVU athletics is fricked either way in the long run once the big 12 dies.
Conference realignment has really sucked the life out of sports for a lot of fans that miss their old rivalries.

Yeah y'all are in a bad spot. One of our talk shows had someone on from your school last year. I think it was your radio announcer for football, and he said he didn't think it was going as well as planned. Mainly because of all the travel y'all do.
The Big 12 should look to pick up Cincy and someone else east to help y'all out a little.
Wouldn't mind seeing y'all in the SEC someday.
