Is he Better than Tevin Coleman, Ind RB
or Jay Ajayi, Boise St RB
He had a great line at Alabama and great scheme.
These other two rbs had to do more with less.
Just think the Jaguars reached with that pick.
There is a reason the Jacksonville Jaguars are the perennially the worst team in the league.
maybe im wrong I certainly dont think he will be a bust like Trent Richardson.
But the jaguars have way more needs and I feel their were better RB on the board and way more position players of need for a terrible team like the Jags.

In his freshman year this was true. But his sophomore and junior years saw a decline in play at the OL position. Our lack of consistent running game this past year cost us at Ole Miss and against Ohio State.

Eddie Lacy is slow and fat and played behind a great line. Will be a bust.

Behind Wayne Wheeler and Britton Cooper this kid was my favorite Bama player and I say that even though he scored the winning TD on the screen play in TS to win Bama that game.

I mean it's not like we are talking about some average talent that put up numbers in a system. He was a 5 star recruit who was in the starting rotation as a freshman. He has a lot of potential as an NFL HB. What likely made the Jaguars reach on him is that he is excellent in pass protection. He can start day one and they won't have to worry about that aspect.

Yeldon was injured much of his sophomore and junior seasons, FWIW.
A healthy Yeldon is a great running back.

I give you an upvote for that insight

ah ok.
This makes sense then Because the jaguars definitely need help in protection.
I watched him several times over the years but never followed him enough to see his blocking pick ups and such
I can see that being a deciding reason between he and the other backs available.
and of course he played against a higher level of talent in his college career.

If he would have stuck with his Auburn commitment he would have easily had the stats to have been taken in the 1st round. It's sad really

Seemed like a reach to me.

I know you were just being a silly head, but Auburn hasn't had a running back selected in the first round in the last decade.

Tevin Coleman is a beast. A lot of Big Ten people think he's better than Melvin Gordon.
All trolling aside, I like Yeldon and he's a good back and I think he'll succeed in the NFL, but Tevin Coleman is better.

Or maybe you just got outplayed by another team for once instead of beating yourself.

Not many teams have. I know Bama has had two but one has played like a mid round pick and the other has played like he shouldn't have been drafted at all.
Auburn has had two mid round picks at RB outplay both of Bamas first rounders.

FWIW, Ingram made a Pro Bowl this season.

Ajayi is a stud. Big kid, about 6'2 and 220 I'd say.
He ate us alive in the kickoff game, but we still whipped that Bronco arse
