My gut tells me that Tennessee will be a much improved team and that LSU will crumble under pathetic QB play throughout the season, but my brain tells me that LSU's defense will steal a few games they should have lost and Tennessee will be Tennessee and choke away a few. My guess is that they both finish with 8 wins including their bowl games

I haven't looked at LSU's schedule, but I would imagine that Kentucky and Vandy give Tennessee two easy wins which could give them a better record.

That said, I still think Tennessee wins 7 or 8. LSU the same.

I bet both will be around 8-4, but UT probably has a higher ceiling strictly because of being in the East.

LSU has more experience so I'm going to say them.

LSU is the better team as far as talent (sans quarterback), experience (Tennessee is just so young), and coaching (National Title>TaxSlayer).

But the Vols play two teams from the West while LSU plays six West teams. LSU will be the better team but very well could have a worse record. So with that, I'll say the Vols edge out LSU by a win. But if LSU can get consistent QB play, they could have more wins than anybody in the conference.

LSU will have the better record. Vols will finish with the same as Auburn at 8 wins.

LSU. Odd that you would start this thread after blowing a guaranteed 10 win season. Did you think this through at all?
