Will Auburn surpass Bama for the most wins in the Iron Bowl
quote:
Alabama currently leads the series 43-35-1.

Auburn leads 17-8 when not playing away games at Legion Field against Bama. +11

I doubt bama would lead the all time series at all without their 54 years of home field advantage.

I guess this is what too many years in the south Florida sun does to that allegedly superior Auburn education. Not only do their math skills go to shite, their understanding of history does also.

Or maybe it's just intellectual dishonesty for them to conveniently overlook the 1908-1947 period when the two teams didn't play and just automatically assume that Auburn would have magically held their own during that time period. Auburn had some pretty shitty football teams in that era. Yet somehow they managed to compile a very mediocre 57% winning percentage, while Alabama's was 77%. And while Auburn managed to actually have 23 winning seasons during that 40 year time period, they lost way more games than they won over the last 21 years of that period.

By the way...want to guess how many winning seasons Alabama had between 1908 and 1947?

All of them.

AU was average at best from 1908-47. Alabama was arguably the most dominant they ever have been in that time period. The series would likely be even more in Alabama's favor had they played.

Bammer never even won their first conference championship until the mid 1920's and that was during the time that even a former bammer student trainer claims you started your tradition of cheating, lying, and doing anything else it took to win

Well it's kind of hard to win a conference title when there was no official champion in the SIAA and SoCon back then.

So the artificial turf caused Bama to dominate Auburn in Bham. Maybe you guys just weren't that good for a while. Bama pretty much dominated the SEC in the 60s and 70s. Auburn won 1 conference championship from '32 to '83.
Some Aubs are full of nothing but excuses. They know they were shitty for a long time - that's why they honor and revere Pat Dye today. Because he revived that program, beat the big bad Bear, got the IB out of Legion Field.......and in the process landed them on probation with a TV ban.

Ole Miss can't win shite even when they do cheat. Two probations in the last 30 years and literally nothing to show for it

Y'all have nothing to be ashamed of. You're a damn strong football program, a historical power.

And JJ . . . he gone be real goot . . . real goot. How does your OL look this season? We return everyone, for what that's worth. With our depth at WR, if we could just get a serviceable and consistent running game, not a great one, I would be happy.

Nope. They should focus on getting a winning record vs Vandy

We know LSU will never pass bama in the head to head series since Bama leads the series by around a 2 to 1 margin

Yet we have a winning record against you. Kind of shows how much your football program sucked before Spurrier showed ip

They do. 40+ games in the series, so it's not like we're dealing with a small sample size either

At least we had the balls to play them. Aubies are such pussies.

To be fair, it was 7-4-1 in Auburn's favor when they stopped playing for awhile.
