No, LSU is gonna go in dry. Malik will easily be neutralized by our longer guards in Blakney and Quarterman.
Newman likely sees his draft stock drop more and more each game with State. If he even goes to college. Not signing a NLI would scare me as a fan. Means he just as well could opt for overseas if he gets back a good report and offer.

Those longer guards really showed Sword and IJ. Yall are losing two key players while adding 2 talented unproven freshmen while we keep our entire team and add a talented freshman with a great coach.
Also, James Harden and OJ Mayo really saw there draft stock plummet for choosing lesser schools than big name programs. Your acting like a real butt hurt bitch.
quote:Have you kept up with him at all? He's planning on announcing Friday plus he was quoted as saying overseas was not a serious option. How much clearer can he make it for you?

OJ Mayo went to USC in Pasadena. Cameras were everywhere.
James Harden went to ASU. Again a poor comparison to Mississippi State.
Those are piss poor comparisons. If you had picked a St. Johns or William and Mary kid ok, but you named two universities that are not only upper tier Pac 12 programs, but also the little brother's to two very prestigious Basketball schools in UCLA and Arizona.
Mississippi State and Starkville have zero in common and will receive much less exposure compared to ASU and USC.
Very poor comparison.

Just think our shitty team without Malik, without RK beat your best team in many years. You're not going to be as good next year, while we'll be light years better. I guess I'd be bitter too.

Go back to "your thread"
Not one LSU fan is butthurt if we don't land Newman. I know this is extremely hard for State fans to comprehend.
How dare we not worship and morn not landing your Hercules like program saver?

Personally thought the Harden comparison and ASU was a good one. Miss St has more national televised games and coverage than a lower end of the road Pac 12 team.

Not to mention they are on the west coast and play most their games when half the country is asleep.

This isn't 1980. The NBA will find you no matter where you are if you have the potential.
Malik could go to Belhaven and he'd be a Lottery Pick next year. He might not get the Twitter followers and the ESPN top 10 highlights, but every NBA GM would know all about him.

You do realize that signing an NLI doesn't prevent him from going overseas, right? He could sign the NLI or not sign the NLI, and either way it has no bearing whatsoever on his decision to go to college or go to Europe...
The NLI just blocks him from going to another college. It is not a binding international legal document that prevents European basketball teams from making an offer...

Ummm...I've never said once Ole Miss will sign Newman...in fact, I have been pretty vocal about wanting Newman to go to MSU, since we stand no chance.
So, frick off.

What a year for all of us rookies to start following bball recruiting, the year we finish with the number one class.
Poor us

Malik works. After hearing about his daily schedule its intense. Early morning practice. School. After school practice. Weights. Then he hits the track. And then he goes home to do homework and then does it all over again.
You do not get to be the one of the top 3 recruits in the nation by just practicing twice a day. The kid is willing to work and its paid off. But now its the real deal and he has to prove it.
