Yup. 1998 was a good year for Aggy and Tenn.
So was 1939 apparently.

Only 8 years farther away from us than 1981.

I would have a rebuttal but your gay avatar distracted me.

For comparison, W VA also made 3 BCS appearances,
Meh, all of these came after VT and Miami left for the ACC.
We'll take the 3-0 record in the BCS games with wins against the Big 12, SEC and ACC

And Miami hasn't been worth a shite since they joined the ACC anyhow.

Florida yes
A lot of accuracy compared to the OP but Florida didn't badly outplay us either, they outgained us by 23 yards and we lost a possession due to the special teams TD

No one did better off of BCS games than WVU and Louisville. Both used them to elevate their programs.

Uh, noooo. Alabama was the best team on 1/9/12.
LSU had arguably the greatest regular season in CFB history in 2011 outscoring 13 opponents 500-123.
Of those 13 opponents, 8 were bowl teams, 3 were ranked in the Top 3 during the season, and 5 were ranked in the Top Ten during the season. Only 1 team got within 14 points of LSU that year. LSU scored 40+ points SEVEN times on this murderous schedule.
Bama's SOS didn't even come close to either LSU's or Okie State's in 2011.
My second and third paragraphs have nothing to do with flaming, trolling, 'opinion' etc. They all HAPPENED...
It's shamefully unfortunate that #1 LSU was forced to not only play Top Ten Georgia in the SECCG, but that we were forced to play the THIRD PLACE SEC team in the BCSNCG, when another team had a much stronger SOS and actually won their conference - 2 SUPPOSED criteria for the BCS formula !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (not that we would DEFINITELY have beaten Okie State.)
My question - Why oh why even PLAAAAAAAAYYYY an SECCG that year ????????????????????????????????????
Yes you're right, I'm still mad and 'butthurt' over that every time someone brings it up- you're DAMN right.....
Waaaaaaah. The BCS had a process in place and it worked through it. Win your championship game and you wouldn't have to worry about it, you bunch of pussies.

Alabama was put into the BCS for the simple purpose of ushering in the playoff.. Or do you think that the BCS just likes Alabama better than Michigan, who was held out of the Championship in 2006?

I don't think a single person outside of Idaho knew who Boise State was before the Fiesta Bowl v. Oklahoma.

Did we lose to a 6-6 team in 06?

Except when they ruined Fresno State's dream season in 01 (David Carr's senior year).

At the end of the 2006 Regular season, OSU was #1, followed by USC at #2 Michigan at #3, and Florida at #4. USC lost and fell to #5 behind LSU.
Florida beat Arkansas in the SECCG and jumped Michigan, who was idle, to #2 in the BCS for the right to play in the NC. Michigan, in essence was penalized for not ending the season with a win against a highly ranked opponent in a Conference Championship.
Fast forward to 2011, LSU was #1, followed by Oklahoma State at #2, and Alabama at #3. Oklahoma State lays an egg against Iowa State and drops to #3. Then, as Alabama sits idle, Oklahoma State proceeds to destroy the 13th ranked Oklahoma Sooners by a score of 44-10 and earn the Big 12 Championship.
The two situations couldn't be more contradictory.

Florida deserved to play in the 2006 BCSNC.
LSU deserved to play in the 2007 BCSNC.
OSU deserved to play in the 2011 BCSNC.

I'll give you Arkansas, but Kentucky was damn good that year with Woodson @ QB. Hell even, Arky had McFadden, Hillis, and Felix Jones in the backfield

UK had the same record as Arkansas.
