Stoops reminds me a lot of Bert with his 2-14 SEC record

I don't expect CAJ to take us to the Final Four, but I think he'll get us back to the dance and leave the program better than he found it. Even hiring him as brought a lot of positive attention to the program already, and that is instantly huge for recruiting. If he makes even one Sweet 16 in his time here I'd say he did a pretty good job, unless the other years were complete shite.

That said, I'm sure if he has a bad first year people will shite all over him and the hire, despite it only being year one. Though I imagine the same people shite on Saban after 07.

Moral of the Story: One-trick pony schools should stick to what they know, leave respectable all-around sports programs to the rest of us.

Congrats on having a bunch of mediocre teams.

Wish I could contribute to you but I can't on this subject. We both know who AJ is being Dallas aristocrats. No one came across like AJ did as a Dallas coach, and I mean in all sports. He's wonderful.

I hate he's in the SEC honestly. Gumps, just be patient. You'll be in the SEC hunt in a few.

He has been rumored for about every NBA opening in the last few years and would be again this summer. Pull up Hoopshype and search for his name. You will see him mentioned ALOT.

The team he took over in New Jersey was coming off a 12 win season. They were moving to Brooklyn so the home crowds were nonexistent. He doubled their win total in his first year. He won the Eastern Conference coach of the month award the month before he was fired.

He suffered from expectations that in retrospect looked ridiculous.

The Nets are by far one of the most dysfunctional FO's in the league. They've spent more money than anyone in the NBA and traded away all of their draft picks for the foreseeable future for a borderline playoff team in a historically weak conference.

Jason Kidd for example in Brooklyn and he may finish 3rd in the COY voting this season.

A 3 game improvement in the regular season. Again, just like your precious Bert.

3OT loss in Gainesville stopped us from going bowling in year 2. Forgive us if we're optimistic and happy with Stoops almost tripling our win total from each of the previous two seasons in only his second year on the job. We're still building depth.

Arky fans are so delusional, it's so funny. The difference between Stoops and Phillips is so amazing, I'm surprised even you couldn't see it.

We apologize for being excited. How dare us. We should just stick to football.
