Some what. But, I've never kept up with anything related to Ole Miss. Cats out of the bag

Bryce Drew hit a game winning three for Valpo against probably the best Ole Miss team in their history in the '98 tourney. The shot is now a staple of the NCAA tournament montages that they show each year.

It's only fitting. If you're Arkansas and those 3 names are on the board, who would you want from most to least?

Edit: Your right, I have seen that highlight a bunch. I never realized that was OM on the losing end though. Can't say that I'm surprised, rebals.

Like I said, shitshow. They apparently interviewed Bobby Hurley this weekend, too.

Leitao knows the area and actually won a conference title with DePaul one year (which is their only recent accomplishment), but it's an extremely lazy hire, if true.

DePaul doesn't care for basketball.

I define a basketball/football school were an athlete will/would never have to get his own ride to class or buy themselves a slice of pizza. That's a big reason why illinois and Indiana will never be powerhouses again the students don't care as much as other schools.

On the MSB, I said that TEX needed a change (he is fine coach), and Barnes would a solid get for UT. I think he'd do very well there and it's nice to see the coaching quality improving in this league (with Howland coming in at MSU).

All three would be a solid hire. Old vet with Barnes, up and comer with Drew, and another Pitino who is doing decent at Minny.

Can't go wrong with any

If Bryce is anything like his brother Scott, he will just be a recruiter and wont actually know how to coach the team. He'll also piss off all the other SEC coaches with his extra-sleazy recruiting techniques.

Drew seems like a risk for more NCAA issues.

Edit: Thought it was Scott.

Barnes is the known commodity. Good, not great at Texas. But as someone else said, this isn't Duke looking to hire a coach. It's a Tenn. program that has had its ups and downs over the last 20 years. Still, for all of his March disappointments, Barnes isn't a bad choice.

Pitino is the guy you take hoping he is the next Billy Donovan. Very young, well connected coach that you hope can build your program. If he is what you hope he is, UT can become the next UF. If he's not, then you're doing this all over again in 4 years.

Drew is probably a better "coach" than his brother. The question is is he willing to recruit like his brother? You probably don't have to be anywhere near as shady to get players to come to UT as you do at Baylor, but you still have to have the guys to go up against UK, UF, and whoever of the rest of the SEC has talent for that given year.
